- Punters secure six-figure payout with Sky Bet from the Players Championship
- Luke Littler registered three 100+ checkouts across his first three legs
- The odds for the winning RequestABet were an eye-catching 175/1
421 lucky punters secured a six-figure payout with Sky Bet from a 2024 Players Championship semi-final in Minehead on Sunday.
The semi-final where the bet was won was between Luke Littler and Ross Smith – a match in which ‘The Nuke’ reigned supreme 11-9.
The successful RequestABet – which was valued at an eye-catching 175/1 – needed a 100+ checkout in each of the first three legs of the match.
Littler delivered and then some, securing 158, 107 and 150 checkouts across the first three legs.
For the bet to win, either player getting a 100+ checkout would’ve seen it paid out, but in the end, all three were recorded by Littler.
Sunday was the second time in as many weeks that Littler has delivered on a huge RequestABet – with the 17-year-old registering a 180 in each of the first six legs of his Grand Slam quarter-final last weekend. The odds for that particular bet were a massive 200/1.
Littler will be hoping he can continue that strong form next month – as the teen sensation looks to go one better and win the PDC World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace in London. The tournament gets underway on Sunday, December 15.
