Aldi Australia has gone in a new direction to make travel more affordable for shoppers – and its Black Friday deals are sending thousands on holiday in 2025.
The grocery chain is expanding its Special Buys offering to include holiday packages in a first for supermarkets Down Under with a suite of exclusive deals on escapes, cruises and tours.
Bringing value to the travel category, the deals will offer add-on options including room upgrades, tours, customisable experiences, and flights at some of the most sought-after holiday destinations around the world.
Customers have been able to find great deals via Aldi Holidays online portal from 2 October.
Two exciting packages to Queensland and Hawaii are on offer as part of the supermarket’s Black Friday sales period – but you have to book by 30 November 2024.
You can score five nights at the Rydges Esplanade Resort, Cairns, a whopping 57 per cent off.
Travellers can expect to pay $649pp for the experience – where retail price would normal set them back $1,500pp.
The deal includes a daily buffet breakfast, a cruise of the Great Barrier Reef and a full-day Green Island discovery tour for two adults, four drink vouchers per day, and more.
Travel dates for the Cairns experience are between 1 November 2024 and 30 June 2025.
The Rydges Esplanade Resort is a four-star luxury destination with views of the Coral Sea, tropical mountains, and Cairns city.
Shoppers can also score 10 nights – including return flights – at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani in Honolulu for the bargain price of $2,699pp, where there would normally have to pay $4,700.
Aldi’s deal includes a princess pool room, airport transfers, exclusive happy hour prices at all times, and an Ala Moana Shopping Centre premier passport voucher.
Travel dates for the Honolulu experience are between 1 November 2024 and 31 October 2025.
The hotel will keep you in the heart of Honolulu – walking distance to the famous Waikiki beach, Diamond Head, and Honolulu Zoo.
To help travellers create their perfect holiday experience, ALDI Holidays offers customisable options depending on the package, from preferred airlines to departures airports across the country.
Escape and Tour packages can be booked via the online portal, or through robust person-to-person customer service for Cruise packages, to deliver the best competitive prices in the market.
