Amy Klobuchar Tries to ‘Go Gangsta’ on Kash Patel; He Shows Why He’ll Be the Next FBI Boss

President Donald Trump’s nominee for FBI Director, Kash Patel, is mopping the floor with the members of the Senate Judiciary Committee. They haven’t laid a glove on him, despite their best attempts to do so. Case in point: Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) tried to play “girl boss,” and ended up looking as ridiculous as she did when she had to eat salad with a comb

One wonders why Klobuchar likes to embarrass herself on the regular. From her screeching at now-Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, to grilling Attorney General nominee Pam Bondi on how she would handle Patel, and now to Patel himself, Klobuchar tries to come off forceful, smarter-than-thou, and commanding; but ends up bumbling, milquetoast, and shrill.

From the above exchange, it is clear Klobuchar is out for blood, particularly with Bondi. But in Patel’s Thursday hearing, he is the one who ended up drawing it.

In one exchange with Patel, Klobuchar decided to cherry-pick quotes Patel made in some recent podcast interviews to prove that he will weaponize the FBI against the legacy media and FBI agents, when he becomes director. Klobuchar further insulted Patel by accusing him of having no respect for the men and women of the agency or for the office he plans to hold, and defended failed FBI Director Chris Wray because he boosted recruitment under his watch. Klobuchar soon discovered that in lobbing this volley, she not only appeared out of her mind, but way out of her depth.

PATEL: Simply this: If the best attacks on me are to be false accusations and grotesque mischaracterizations, the only thing this body is doing is defeating the credibility of the men and women at the FBI. I stood with them, here in this country, in every theater of war we have, I was on the ground in service of this nation. And any accusations leveled against me that I would somehow put political bias before the Constitution, are grotesquely unfair. And I will have you reminded that I have been endorsed by over 300,000 law enforcement officers to become the next director of the FBI. Let’s ask them.

Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) rebuked Klobuchar for not only taking up additional time and boxing out Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) with questions that she could have left for the next round, but for cutting him off with her rant. It became pretty clear by the smug smirk on Klobuchar’s face at the end of this exchange, that she had planned this as a targeted hit to run ad infinitum on MSNBC–or whatever is her preferred corporate media outlet.

Klobuchar either did not realize (or care) that she came off unhinged, desperate, and blatantly disingenuous. Just another Democrat female senator who has become the fodder of memes for the next news cycle, and probably the next decade.

In the second round, as if she poured milk on stupid this morning and slurped it down, Klobuchar decided to lock horns with Patel again. Patel also took this opportunity to school her.
