An ex-friend crashed my wedding in a white dress. I thought that was bad enough and then I saw her shoes…

A bride has revealed the ultimate wedding day betrayal after a former friend crashed her big day wearing a cream dress in what many are calling a ‘desperate act of attention-seeking’.

Weddings are steeped in traditions meant to bring luck to the bride, such as wearing ‘something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue’.

But for one guest – who had no business being there in the first place – this was apparently her own personal theme for the day.

Not only did the uninvited guest arrive in a suspiciously bridal-looking thrifted gown, she made a point to tell the bride all about it.

As if that weren’t enough, she also wore blue shoes and went around asking if the photographer had captured a shot of her grandmother’s heirloom necklace.

‘Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue on another bride’s day is not the goal unless you’re the bride!’ the shocked newlywed vented on Reddit.

‘Don’t be like this girl.’

While some brides prefer their guests getting dolled up in an all-white attire, it is generally considered rude.

The internet was not impressed, with commenters roasting the rogue guest and her questionable fashion choices.

‘Even without the etiquette faux pas, the dress and shoes are ugly, so this isn’t the flex she thought it was,’ one person wrote.

‘I hope you still had an amazing wedding. Don’t worry about her, that dress colour looks dingy and the shoes don’t match,’ another reassured the bride.

Others speculated that the unwanted guest was making a statement about the groom rather than just the bride.

‘Nah. Just ask her for how long she’s wanted to marry the groom,’ one person suggested. ‘Why else would she be wearing this at a wedding where she isn’t the bride?’

The behaviour left many people gobsmacked, with one user summing it up perfectly.

‘What do these people think will happen? I’ve never seen someone applauded for dressing like the bride – that’s for sure!’

Some even went as far as to say the bride should have had her removed from the event.

‘Oh, I’d boot her out. That is an act of war. Showing up to a wedding in a white dress? Shame!’

But perhaps the harshest take of all came from a commenter who suggested the guest’s antics were downright unhinged.

‘That’s genuinely so incredibly embarrassing on her part. The fact she took the time to put together an entire wedding outfit to ‘ruin’ your day is actual clinically mentally ill territory. I would pity her. She needs help.’
