Mikey Madison made jaws drop as she arrived at the 30th annual Critics Choice 2025 in Santa Monica, California after running late to the bash.
On Friday, the 25-year-old actress had all eyes on her as she modeled a vintage Giorgio Armani gown with a black top and white skirt as well as matching gloves.
She wore her brunette locks in loose curls and accessorized with a Tiffany & Co. diamond necklace and dainty earrings.
And the star was done-up in a light makeup look that brought out her natural beauty.
The Los Angeles native earned a nod for Best Actress for her role in Anora while the film is nominated for Best Picture.
Because of Madison’s late arrival, she missed an earlier shout-out from host Chelsea Handler who quipped that Aora was a biopic ‘about Melania Trump.’
Handler praised the actress for her role and said, ‘That was a wild, wild ride. Russians and prostitutes, who would have ever connected those dots. Certainly no one in this room.’
This marks her first time being nominated for a Critics Choice Award since breaking into showbusiness with her first major role in 2017’s Liza, Liza, Skies Are Grey, an independent film.
Last Sunday, Madison won Breakthrough Performer of the Year at the 45th Critics’ Circle Film Awards for her role in the R-rated Comedy/Romance.
‘I feel very honored, very nervous, very happy, completely in awe,’ she said at the ceremony last week. ‘I’ve been acting literally more than a decade now… I really, genuinely can’t believe I’m here in a room like this, celebrating a film (Anora) I love so much.’
The show was first slated to take place on Sunday, January 12, before being pushed to Sunday, January 26.
The Critics Choice Awards, hosted by Handler, are finally taking place at Barker Hangar in the outskirts of LA after twice being delayed due to the LA fires.
But due to the venue’s close proximity to the fire-ravaged Pacific Palisades, ceremony officials decided to push the show to February.
Wicked, Conclave and Shogun lead the nominations.
Wicked scored the most Critics Choice Awards 2025 nominations, including major nods for its stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, as the musical ties Conclave for the most nominations with 11.
Both Wicked and Conclave are also up for the biggest prize of the night in Best Picture.
The two films will face off against an impressive field including: A Complete Unknown, Anora, The Brutalist, Dune: Part Two, Emilia Pérez, Nickel Boys, Sing Sing and The Substance.
Ariana, 31, is up for Best Supporting actress, and she will take on Danielle Deadwyler — The Piano Lesson, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor — Nickel Boys, Margaret Qualley — The Substance, Isabella Rossellini — Conclave, and Zoe Saldaña –— Emilia Pérez.
Cynthia, 38, will also face stiff competition in the coveted Best Actress category, as she is up against: Karla Sofía Gascón — Emilia Pérez, Marianne Jean-Baptiste — Hard Truths, Angelina Jolie — Maria, Mikey Madison — Anora, and Demi Moore — The Substance.
Transgender actress Gascon, who has been slammed for resurfaced ‘racist’ social media posts, is not expected to be in attendance with her Emilia Pérez castmates.
