Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York blamed Kamala Harris’ loss in this year’s presidential election on sexism and misogyny on Thursday, continuing the left’s trend of blaming everyone and everything except Kamala Harris herself.
She also warned that America will be in for a “scary” time under “the fascist” Donald Trump.
“This is going to be a very, very, very, challenging difficult time … for millions of people in this country. This is going to be a very scary time,” AOC said in an extended Instagram video.
“I’m not here to sugarcoat what we are about to experience.”
The former bartender-turned-congresswoman maintains that she understands the American worker’s struggle and that she grew up lower class. However, her father was an architect and CEO of Kirschenbaum & Ocasio-Roman Architects, PC, which focused on both remodeling and renovations. She also “grew up in a wealthy suburb north of New York City,” Daily Mail reported.
The results, according to Ocasio-Cortez, who traveled the nation campaigning for the Kamala Harris-Tim Walz ticket, are a bitter pill for Democrats and liberals who maintain they stand up for working-class Americans.
She also could not deny that “a lot of the working class” helped Trump win the presidency.
“It’s an enormous setback because the fascist won a lot of working class support, which has happened in history,” stated the congresswoman, who represents parts of the Bronx and Queens.
According to AOC, Harris most certainly lost votes due to pervasive sexism and misogyny, which cuts across party lines and ideologies in America, as a country that has never elected a female president.
“If Kamala Harris was TOM Harris, we may have a different result today,” she declared.
“It doesn’t matter that he’s lying. He’s saying the thing clearly. He’s saying it.”
“Longer term, Democrats must deliver on a specific agenda for lower income and middle class Americans by delivering on raising the minimum wage and lowering the age for Medicare, for example.”
“Trump will be difficult to stop if Republicans control both the House and Senate, which appears likely. He also will be more formidable than his last stint in the White House because he is better prepared,” AOC added.
“When he [Trump] says he’s going to do something, believe him.”
At one point, AOC even claimed that Trump being in office will prompt temperatures to rise, hurting the planet.
“We will have to deal with the consequences for the rest of our lives,” AOC declared.
Additionally, AOC expressed concerns that Trump would give Robert F. Kennedy Jr., an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine skeptic, power over federal health regulators and vaccine policy. Kennedy has also discussed eliminating fluoride from tap water.
Excess exposure to fluoride can cause skeletal fluorosis, thyroid problems, neurological issues, acne, reproductive problems, cardiovascular problems, and it can even lower one’s IQ, according to Medical News Today.
“We have to build community. We do not have a choice. Our choice is to continue to fight,
she said.“We cannot give up.”
