Wicked stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo were caught red-faced as they slipped out of the Golden Globe Awards for a moment on Sunday.

While Sarah Paulson and Rachel Brosnahan presented an award on stage, the two could be seen in the corner of the screen, as Grande led Erivo by the hand as they tried to sneak out of the room.

The hilarious moment, which was captured on X by user @todasgeek, even showed the moment when Grande realized they were being filmed.

The two actresses tried to crouch down to get out of the frame, but they were still captured on-screen in their evening gowns.

They were finally able to get away as they escaped from the frame.

It’s unclear exactly where they went, but they were back in time for the moment Wicked won the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement award, joining the rest of their castmates on stage.

The duo, who have become fan favorites for their close relationship and viral interviews on the Wicked press tour, were both nominated for their roles in the movie.

Erivo was nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, but lost to Demi Moore in the category.

Grande was up for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture, but the award was instead given to Zoe Saldaña.

The annual awards show, which takes place at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, celebrates some of the most popular TV shows and movies this year.

Comedian Nikki Glaser opened the show with a hilarious monologue, where she dropped shock jokes about Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

The SNL star, 40, who was hosting the glittering awards show for the first time, left the superstar audience and viewers reeling as she mentioned the disgraced star’s ‘freak-offs’ and the viral 1,000 bottles of baby oil claims.

Glaser also made reference to Trump’s presidential election victory – despite Hollywood’s overwhelming support for Democratic nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris as well as a sex joke about Ben Affleck.

She said: ‘Some of you may know me as a stand up comedian, and from my appearances on roasts. But I’m not here to roast you. I want you to know that. How could I, really? You’re also famous, so talented, so powerful. You can really do anything, except tell the country who to vote for, but it’s okay.’

The reference about Diddy came as Glaser made mention of Zendaya, as she said, ‘Zendaya is here – Zendaya, you were incredible in Dune. Oh, my God, I woke up for all of your scenes. You were so good.

‘And Challengers, girl? Oh, my God, that was so good. That movie was more sexually charged than Diddy’s credit card.’

Glaser continued: ‘I’m sorry, I’m upset, too. The afterparty isn’t gonna be as good this year. But we have to move on – “Stanley Tucci freak-off” doesn’t have the same ring to it – no baby oil this year, just lots of olive oil.’

The works up for nomination this year included some of the biggest hits, like Challengers, Deadpool & Wolverine, Twisters, Wicked and The Brutalist.

The Bear’s Jeremy Allen White won the award for Best Television Male Actor – Musical/Comedy Series, while Baby Reindeer’s Jessica Gunning took home the award for Best Supporting Female Actor – Television.

The Brutalist star Adrien Brody snagged the award for Best Male Actor – Motion Picture – Drama.

Emilia Pérez took home the award for Best Picture — Musical or Comedy.
