Shayna Jack and Brianna Throssell made sure to bring the glamour as they stepped out for Melbourne racing’s Cox Plate Day on Saturday.
The Australian Olympic swimmers pulled out all the stops as they were seen having the times of their lives at the Moonee Valley Racecourse for the spectacular.
For the day, Shayna, 25, put on a vibrant display in a red and pink strapped gown with bow detailing across the bodice.
She made sure to turn heads as she teamed her stylish ensemble with a unique headpiece, made up of a bright red hat and rings adorned with colourful leaves.
Shayna, who recently suffering sporting heartbreak at the Paris Olympics, let her outfit do all the talking as she kept her accessories minimal.
In line with the bold dress code, Brianna, 28, put on a sophisticated display in an equally vibrant orange strapped dress, which was adorned with huge flowers.
Olympic gold medallist Brianna, who got engaged to her longtime partner Josh Milner last month, also fixed a statement gold headband in her brunette tresses.
The two swimmers were seen chatting with AFL star Oliver Dempsey as they all enjoyed the sunny day out at the races.
They were in attendance for Cox Plate Day, which has a purse of $5million and sees horses aged three years old and over rase over a distance of 2,040 metres.
It is held annually at the Moonee Valley Racecourse in late October and the dress code urges racegoers to wear textures, vibrant colors and metallic tones.
In August, Shayna faced a devastating blow at the 2024 Paris Olympics as she came last in the 50m freestyle final in France.
She was beaten by her teammate Meg Harrison, who took silver behind the all-conquering Sarah Sjostrom.
Shayna has had to fight back from the abyss after testing positive for Ligandrol, a banned substance that can help repair and build muscles.
She was banned for four years but it was overturned when the positive test was deemed to have resulted from contamination.
Jack has long maintained her innocence and has had to battle mental demons to return to the pinnacle of the sport.
But after her Paris blow, Shayna insisted she is still as hungry as ever to be competing for Australia at the Olympics in Los Angeles in 2028.
‘I definitely have that motivation to come back in four years’ time,’ she said.
‘This is just the start for me. This is my redemption chapter and hopefully there’s more to come and there’s more of a story to tell.
‘I’m also human and I think for me, I want to enjoy this moment and not think too far ahead. Because you can get caught up in that sometimes.
‘I just didn’t think I would ever be here, let alone swimming again. I didn’t know if I would fall in love with the sport again and I’m trying to say I am in love with the sport and I love racing and I love being a part of something that’s more than just about me.
‘I got a bit emotional because I’ve worked so hard to be here and I’m just really proud of everything I’ve achieved personally and part of this team this week so you know, it is sad to be saying goodbye to it.
‘But I look forward to reflecting and being proud of how far I’ve come.’
