Hannah Neeleman, the viral, controversial ‘trad wife’ influencer behind Ballerina Farm with over nine million followers, has relocated her entire family to Ireland in a shock new move.

Neeleman, who made headlines this summer after she faced intense scrutiny following an article published by The Times of London, revealed the special news in a new video posted to TikTok.

She explained that she and her husband, Daniel, had moved themselves and their eight kids to Ireland for ‘the next little while’ as the couple attend the Ballymaloe Cookery School.

It’s unclear exactly how long she and her family will be gone for, and when they will return to Utah.

In another clip, she posted the journey of her whole brood getting there, as she showed all of her kids’ packed suitcases

The family had to take three different flights to get to the school, which is located in Cork – almost three hours from Dublin.

The Ballymaloe School delivers a ‘first class culinary education,’ according to its website, and offers multiple courses of different lengths, ranging anywhere from twelves weeks to half a day.

Spending 12 weeks studying at Ballymaloe will cost you €16,295.00, which converts to $16,696.02 in US Dollars.

The school is set on a 100-acre organic farm, and focuses on teaching its students all about sustainability.

Students learn to cook a diverse array of foods, and have a packed schedule, which includes making a three to four course meal every morning, listening to lectures about various food subjects, and preparing lunch for the group.

However, in 2021, the school faced controversy after police temporarily shut them down for holding in-person classes during the COVID-19 lockdown.

The school denied the claims, per The Irish Times.

And, in 2003, Tim Allen, the co-founder of Ballymaloe, pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography.

He was sentenced to 240 hours community service and fined €40,000, according to The Irish Times.

Allen was also forced to announce that he was stepping back from the cookery school, leaving his wife Darina to run the business.

In a video posted Thursday, Neeleman showed viewers what a day in their life at the school looked like.

Included in the montage was a clip of her making pasta in the kitchen, as well as fresh jam.

She also made a quiche lorraine, and plated fresh berries with whipped cream.

‘Only a few days in and culinary school is teaching me and inspiring me tremendously,’ Neeleman wrote in the caption of the video.

‘I love creating beautiful food with beautiful ingredients- loving it!’ she continued.

‘What did you think about my first quiche Lorraine?’

Hannah, who was an aspiring ballerina, moved to New York City at 17 to study at Juilliard, but met her now-husband Daniel not long after.

Hannah and her husband launched their company Ballerina Farm in 2019 – which now sells an array of products made from their livestock like ground beef and pork, as well as fresh desserts and produce.

She has amassed millions of followers on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube from her ‘trad wife’ content, a term short for ‘traditional wife,’ which describes a woman trading modern femininity for domestic duties, involving cooking, cleaning, and having children.
