Bill Maher may suffer from TDS, but that didn’t stop him from coming to the defense of President Donald Trump on Friday during his “Real Time” show on HBO. It’s one of the few arenas where some truth may be getting through to a liberal audience because sometimes, he isn’t shy about going there.

One of the radically different things that Pres. Donald Trump has brought to the White House is transparency. Instead of someone who’s hiding and/or asleep, you have someone who will tell you exactly what he’s thinking. It’s one of the reasons people appreciate Trump — because he talks like a regular person, not a politician.
Maher came to Trump’s defense over his response to a reporter on the DCA crash. The reporter asked Trump if he plans to visit the crash site.
Warning for graphic language:
NEW: Bill Maher says Trump was “exactly right” to mock reporter over “stupid question” about the plane crash site.
This impression is actually pretty good.
“They asked him a question about the crash, and they said, ‘Will you visit the crash site now?’ Every other politician… pic.twitter.com/NfyLTnMh1p

Every other politician would go, ‘Of course, it was a tragedy.’ “And he went, ‘It’s the water. What do you want me to do, swim there?’” And I was like, exactly. ‘F**k right. You’re exactly right. It’s a stupid question. And you got just the…answer you deserve.”
Trump made a statement supporting the families, and said he would be meeting with the people affected:
President Trump to the families of those killed in the horrific plane crash in DC Wednesday night:

He also said, “Together, we take solace in the knowledge that their journey ended not in the cold waters of the Potomac, but in the warm embrace of a loving God.”
He and his team have pledged to get to the bottom of it, and that’s what needs to be done here, to stop a tragedy like this from happening again. They’ve restricted the military helicopters from flying near the airport for now, while they look into it.

Maher also didn’t hold back with how government is broken. This is right on target about how they limp along, and just pass enough funding to keep the government going, but never straighten out the system:
Bill Maher Perfectly Sums Up the US Government in 40 Seconds
“We vote to spend money we don’t have, spend it, and then vote whether to pay the bill.
“Then, one party threatens to crash the economy by not paying.
“So then we vote just enough money to keep the government open… pic.twitter.com/jiXSwIZqRQ

That’s why Trump is bringing big change with things like DOGE, stopping not just wasteful spending but reorienting government to actually. make it work for the American people, not against us.

Then Maher put up a graph that tells the tale of how bad Biden was on the border:
BILL MAHER: “Democrats can say they weren’t for open borders, but it sure looks like someone left the gate unlocked.”
(Then shows a graph obliterating the narrative that “the border was better under Biden.”) pic.twitter.com/fLwRO4q19F

You can see the huge jump in the very simple visual. “Democrats can say they weren’t for open borders, but is sure looks like someone left the gate unlocked,” Maher concluded.
Now of course, Trump immediately was able to bring those numbers down, proving it could have been done instead of leaving the door open.
I suspect Maher is going to find a lot more he agrees with, as Trump continues to make big changes.
