All the polls showed Pennsylvania being a tight race in the presidential race.
It was also projected to be a tight race for the Senate between Republican Dave McCormick and Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA). McCormick was closing the gap in the final days and the last Real Clear Polling numbers had Casey leading +1.8 on Election Day.

Hell no I’m not running for the Casey seat.

You knew that Casey was trying to pitch to the right when he even ran a commercial featuring President Donald Trump in it, showing that Democrats in tight races like him know that would help them and that they truly don’t believe he’s “Hitler.” Casey has been in office for 18 years, so dethroning him was a big challenge, despite his effort to run to the middle. But McCormick was up to the task.

HUGE: Donald Trump Wins Pennsylvania
Then Trump won in what seemed to be a rout early Wednesday morning, with an overwhelming mandate from the public. He’s now won all the battleground states and he’s likely to win the popular vote as well, the first since George W. Bush 20 years ago.
But the call for David McCormick winning the Senate in Pennsylvania was slow to come, despite the fact that he was far ahead of Sen. Bob Casey by about 35,000 votes with more than 90 percent of the vote in.

Bob Casey campaign points to 10s of thousands uncounted Philly ballots (McCormick camp says it’s 30k) and provisionals – which they say in 2022 totaled about 40k.
Casey is down 50k and red Cambria County still has to count 2/3 of its votes.
Doesn’t appear viable for him

I’m not sure what was holding it up as it looked like the remaining votes were from areas that would largely benefit him. Usually when they have that they will call the race earlier.
By Thursday, it was pretty ridiculous with people calling out how delayed the call was, given the evidence.
They’re holding off calling it for no reason at all… they’re hoping to find thousands of new ballots out of nowhere like it’s Minnesota and Bob Casey’s name is Al Franken https://t.co/3ioiSCsF5w

A source in the #PASen race is mystified/exasperated by the continued non-call. Senator-elect McCormick’s team has shown the basic math to reporters — Casey has no path and has lost — and no one really disputes it. Yet the call still isn’t made. Enough. It’s over. https://t.co/GipF2iWO38

That means three have been taken down including Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) and Sen. John Tester (D-MT). That means there are now 53 Republican Senators going into the new Congress.
