There are disturbing reports coming out of Magdeburg, Germany, on Friday evening after a vehicle plowed into a crowd at a Christmas market, injuring as many as 20 people in what has been preliminarily characterized as a suspected terrorist attack.

According to German news agency Bildt, more than 20 people were injured in a suspected terrorist attack in the idyllic Christmas market in the eastern German city of Magdeburg on Friday.
It was not immediately unclear[sic] if anyone was killed during the suspected terrorist attack.
Video of the horrific incident is circulating on X. I’ll link to it but not embed it as it appears to be sped up and is highly disturbing.

Per reports, the driver of the vehicle has been detained by German police.
Tragically, the incident comes nearly eight years to the day after the attack in Berlin that killed 13 and left dozens injured.
