It used to be that we had somewhat serious people in elected office, or at least they hid their foibles somewhat, knowing the importance of being respected and having respect for their office. That era is long gone; former Rep. Katie Hill (D-CA) put a nail in the coffin.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D, of course) is the latest elected official to make a complete mockery of her position and her constituents, appearing in a video that’s thematically similar to the Katie Hill hairbrush photo.

The video was posted to Instagram by feminist journalist Liz Plank and shows Whitmer, wearing a camo Harris-Walz ball cap and a stern facial expression, feeding Doritos (Kamala’s favorite) to Plank, who’s kneeling on the floor and dressed like a schoolgirl. The caption says, “If he won’t, Big Gretch will.”
What the heck? There are a lot of comments and observations floating about in my mind, but for the most part I’ll let our readers make them in the comments section. What I will say is that it’s extremely unprofessional and undignified and makes me wonder how much attention Whitmer pays to what’s ailing Michigan. The polls aren’t looking great for Harris there and I don’t see this video helping, especially with the Dearbornistan contingent.
