Liverpool star Curtis Jones has broken his silence with a two-word message on social media following the mass brawl during the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park on Wednesday.

The 24-year-old player was one of the four individuals to receive a red card during the controversial game against Everton, which was followed by a series of chaotic scenes after the final whistle.

After the game ended in dramatic fashion with a stoppage-time equaliser scored by James Tarkowski to gain a 2-2 draw and a point for the Toffees, Abdoulaye Doucoure was seen celebrating in front of Liverpool fans at the stadium.

The brawl broke out when Jones was incensed by the Mali international’s gesture with the Englishman running towards Doucoure in order to stop him.

However, a day after the chaotic scene, Jones took to X to share a two-word message to Liverpool fans.

‘Always together,’ wrote the Reds’ star, accompanied by a flexing biceps emoji

Referee Michael Oliver ultimately dismissed both Everton and Liverpool players, in addition to Arne Slot and his assistant Sipke Hulshoff

Both Jones and Doucoure were dismissed following their clash after the end of the heated match.

Furthermore, two more specialists of the Liverpool squad were shown a red card by referee Michael Oliver.

Moments later, the Reds’ boss Arne Slot – with his assistant Sipke Hulshoff – was dismissed following an exchange and an angry handshake with the game’s official.

While initially, the exact reason why Slot was shown a red card remained unknown, Mail Sport revealed on Thursday that the Dutchman had said to Oliver, ‘Great game. ‘

Then, it was followed by a handshake where Slot seemingly appeared to pull the referee in his direction before the official quickly took a red card from his pocket.

‘Sure, you give me a red for that? I will check it out for later. Me and you ya?,’ Slot responded.
