Kmart customers have been left in awe over the newest summer essential to hit the shelves – and it’s only $10.
Dubbed a ‘car umbrella’ the clever device isn’t to stop you from getting wet when the storm clouds roll in.
It’s to shield your car from the scorching summer sun.
The product has been dubbed a ‘genius invention’ by those who have taken it home after Aussie man Michael Jamie’s video on it went viral.
Unlike most sun shield which Michael described as being flimsy and annoying, the Kmart gadget pops up like an umbrella.
The spring-loaded support makes it easier for drivers to put the umbrella up and helps it keep its shape all day.
‘You don’t have to worry about it falling down,’ he said.
His car has leather seats making it even more important to have a good sun shield in place.
‘No more flimsy sun reflector for me thank yewww, thankyou Kmart,’ he wrote, sharing the gadget with his fans.
Hundreds of people commented on the video which quickly went viral.
‘Wait, this is SO GENIUS,’ one woman wrote.
‘I need to invest in one of these,’ said another.
But others weren’t so sure.
‘Isn’t opening an umbrella inside bad luck?!’ one woman wrote.
