Dodgers land stunning new player just weeks after winning the World Series – and he rejected the Yankees

The Dodgers have added another star talent to their World Series-winning roster, as the team has reportedly signed two-time Cy Young winner Blake Snell.

Snell, 31, pitched last season with the Giants as he posted a 3.12 ERA and 145 strikeouts.

And now, he’ll be joining the Dodgers on a five-year, $182million deal, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan and Jorge Castillo.

The deal is reportedly subject to Snell passing a medical.

Prior to ESPN’s report, Snell posted a photoshopped picture of himself in a Dodgers uniform to his Instagram page.

Snell announced the news by posting a mock-up of himself in a Dodgers jersey

The Dodgers clinched the World Series on October 30 with a Game 5 win over the Yankees

‘LA,’ he captioned the post with an eyeball emoji.

Snell’s most recent Cy Young win came in the 2023 season, when he threw a league-leading 2.25 ERA for the Padres.

He’ll now join a rotation featuring Tyler Glasnow, Yoshinobu Yamamoto and two-way star Shohei Ohtani, who is expected to return to the mound next season following Tommy John surgery in September 2023.
