Canadian rapper Drake has made one Aussie fan’s dream come true this week.
The God’s Plan hitmaker, 38, was on stage at Melbourne‘s Rod Laver Arena on Wednesday night when he singled out concertgoer Sally Soumaya for some special attention.
Sally shared a video to TikTok on Thursday that showed Drake revealing the gender of mum-to-be Sally’s impending newborn.
The video began with a photo that showed Sally and a friend standing in front of the venue, holding a sign that read: ‘Do my gender reveal.’
The call out struck a chord with Drake, who happily obliged the fan request.
‘This girl has a sign right here that says: “Do my gender reveal”,’ Drake said to the audience between songs.
As Sally passed a piece of paper, detailing the baby’s gender to the front of the stage, Drake could not contain his excitement at being a part of the auspicious announcement.
‘This is life-changing. Oh, what do we think it is?,’ he asked before thanking Sally for letting him make the big announcement.
‘It says right here that it indicates that the fetus is a mini Drake,’ he said revealing that the mom-to be was going to have a baby boy.
If that wasn’t enough, the magnanimous musician also revealed that he would be giving the new mum quite a financial head-start.
‘Sally’s having a boy and Sally’s getting $50,000 AUD from me,’ Drake added to rapturous applause from the crowd.
Captioning the video, Sally revealed that the experience would live long in her memory.
‘I will never recover from this! Drake does my baby’s gender reveal,’ she wrote.
The post was met with a flurry of comments from followers with many suggesting that the mum-to-be won’t have any trouble choosing a name.
‘I feel like his middle name gotta be Drake,’ one follower commented.
Another chimed in with: ‘Generational fumble if you don’t name him Aubrey,’ referencing the rapper’s given name Aubrey Drake Graham.
A third agreed, jumping in with: ‘Can’t wait to meet baby Drake! Most insane experience.’
Drake’s generous gesture comes after the hitmaker won big during a trip to Melbourne’s Crown Casino.
DJ Gordo, who is travelling with the rapper, took to his Instagram story to share a short clip of a very happy Drake.
The clip was shot in an elevator, apparently at the casino, and featured Drake offering up a celebratory dance.
Dressed casually in a white Texas Football T-shirt and a white cap, the rapper accessorised with a thick stack of casino tokens in his hand.
Captioning the clip, Gordo hinted that luck was definitely on Drake’s side, claiming the rapper had won more than half a million dollars at the Melbourne Casino.
‘700k for lunch,’ he cheekily captioned the video.
The posts come after Drake earlier shared a photo of his crotch covered in $25,000 casino tokens, before swiftly deleting the post.
‘Melbourne giving me the welcome back pack,’ he boasted. ‘Finally…a casino showing love in Australia,’ with a laugh-cry emoji.
Drake certainly hasn’t been afraid to splash the cash won the Down Under leg of his Anita Max Win tour.
After kicking off the Melbourne leg of his Aussie run, he treated his entourage and invited backstage guests to a $2651 Nando’s feast.
Daily Mail Australia obtained a copy of the receipt, which included eight BBQ ribs ($95.80), 60 mild Perinaise Classic chicken pitas ($717) and 60 chicken tender skewers ($177).
He also ordered ten Haloumi and chicken pitas ($159.50), 20 large chips ($199), 30 large tubs of spicy rice ($111.75), 15 large corn ($11.75), 10 vegetarian pitas ($139.50), 30 garden salads ($223.50) and five Nata’s Portuguese tart packs ($74.75).
15 ‘extra hot’ whole chickens ($374.25) and 25 individual sauces were also included in the order.
The One Dance rapper and his entourage have been wining and dining at five-star establishments in Melbourne, including Crown-owned Nobu and Maison Bâtard since their arrival to Australia.
