Fan captures Steph Curry’s wife and daughter’s heartbroken reaction in the stands as NBA star limps off in agony

As Steph Curry hobbled to the bench and eventually to the locker room on Sunday night with an ankle injury, his wife, Ayesha, and eldest child, daughter Riley, watched on from the stands nearby.

From the front row on the lower level, right above the exit from the court to the Golden State Warriors‘ locker room, the Curry female duo watched as their father and husband went down to the court in obvious pain.

The reactions from mother and daughter were heartbreaking and different.

Steph did not make eye contact with his wife or 12-year-old child in the stands, with Riley looking shocked with her hands over her face.

Ayesha looked on trying to process it all before making a distraught glance over to a third woman the Curry’s were sitting with and beginning a conversation with her.

Curry was diagnosed with a left peroneal strain after aggravating the ankle injuries that have been bothering him for most of his career.

Curry has been ruled out for multiple games, including Tuesday night’s contest against the New Orleans Pelicans.

A possible return to the court for Curry would not come until a road game against Houston on Saturday, or against Washington on Monday.

Riley and Ayesha have been a constant presence during Steph’s basketball career.

When she was a toddler, Riley would join her father at press conferences and make headlines for being a 2-year-old waiving at cameras and trying to grab microphones.

Steph and Ayesha have four children together – Riley, another daughter Ryan 9, a son Canon, 6, and their youngest, Caius, who was born in May.
