Finally, We Have an Answer. Ruben Gallego Wins the Arizona US Senate Seat.

Duking things out in Arizona for the U.S. Senate seat since Election Day are former Phoenix news anchor and 2022 GOP gubernatorial nominee, Kari Lake, who received former President Donald Trump’s endorsement, and the sitting Arizona 3rd Congressional District representative, progressive Democrat, Ruben Gallego.

Readers might recall that Senator Kyrsten Sinema, who swapped the “D” after her name for an “I” after raising the ire of the progressive wing of her former party, when she helped torpedo President Joe Biden’s massive, bloated “Build Back Better” legislation, decided against running for reelection.

Over the past few days, people across the country (and some in the Copper state) have started to get frustrated over the slow ballot-counting and curing process here.

Late Friday, the Lake campaign sent a letter to election offficials in Pima County, “seeking clarification” on why some of the numbers had changed on the number of ballots counted:

The post continued:

We should know what the static number of ballots to count is. Instead, it’s like an accordion.

We are seeking complete transparency as to the ballots that are tabulated, the ballots awaiting tabulation, and a complete accounting as to discrepancies that have been identified in the publicly reported data.

In the hopes of lowering the temperature (on all sides) and clearing up some of the questions floating around on social media, on Saturday night, the state GOP released a video with Chair Gina Swoboda, explaining the stages of the process approved by the Republican-majority legislature, and both Republican and Democrat Party officials.

Now, according to our friends at Decision Desk Headquarters (DDHQ), the Senate race has been called for Rep. Gallego to fill the vacated seat.

As this is a developing story, RedState will provide updates as they become available.
