About 100 firefighters are battling a huge blaze that ignited inside a factory in Sydney‘s southwest.
A thick plume of black smoke has risen above Moorebank as firefighters desperately work to extinguish the fire on Kaleski Road.
A Fire and Rescue NSW spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia 26 firetrucks are currently at the scene working to contain the fire, following multiple triple zero calls just after 2pm.
The blaze has spread to a neighbouring business but no injuries have been reported.
‘There is a considerable amount of black smoke billowing into the sky and residents are urged to stay inside, shut windows and stay away from the area,’ the spokesperson said.
‘Crews are fighting it from all sides.’
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
Emergency services including police remain at the scene.
