Footy star Jeremy Cameron marries his sweetheart in stunning ceremony – with a little help from his adorable daughter

Cats star Jeremy Cameron has married Indiana Putra just over a year since he popped the question – and their little daughter Macey stole the show at a ceremony that saw a who’s who of footy in attendance.

Last January, Macey was front and centre being held by her overjoyed mother as Cameron got down on bended knee at Rapid Bay Beach in South Australia.

On Friday she delighted guests and her parents as she was held by Cameron while he cut the cake after the couple tied the knot at a picturesque venue not far from Geelong.

While many of Cameron’s current teammates were there for the big occasion, it’s believed his former GWS Giants friend Toby Greene was the best man.

Big Geelong names like Tom Hawkins, Patrick Dangerfield, Joel Selwood and their partners celebrated with the bride and groom, who had been holidaying in the USA and Canada over the festive period.

Indiana posted photos of the wedding to Instagram accompanied with a pair of love-heart emojis, kicking off congratulatory messages from Selwood, Hawkins’ wife Emma and Channel Seven star Rebecca Maddern, among many others.

She wore a gown by Melbourne-based designer Silvana Tedesco, while Cameron opted for black pants and a white tuxedo jacket paired with a black bow tie.

When Cameron posted an Instagram shot of he and Greene getting a trim on the night before the ceremony, he dubbed it a ‘pre grand final cut’.

The couple welcomed Macey into the world in April 2023, saying they were ‘so in love’. She was born just days after Cameron celebrated his 30th birthday.

‘Macey. 29.03.23 – we are so in love with every 4.6kgs of you little girl. And a big happy 30th birthday Daddy – we hope this one was everything you wished for,’ they wrote.

Cameron and Putra are raising their daughter on the star’s 50-acre farm at Freshwater Creek, just south of Geelong, after he bought it in early 2022.

‘I love being on the land – I spent 10 years of my footy career in Sydney and coming back to Geelong, buying this place and having space and freedom around me is great,’ he told News Corp in 2023.

‘That’s my work-life balance. After a long day I start the tractor or excavator and get a job done because I’m happiest when I’m outdoors.’

He gave fans a hilarious look at his love of life on the land when he dressed up as a chicken as the Cats celebrated their 2022 grand final victory over Sydney, to celebrate the fact his hens had laid ‘lucky’ eggs on grand final morning, which he ate for breakfast.

‘I thought about bringing the cow in but I thought a few people would have been a bit unhappy with that,’ he joked.

‘I dressed up like this and taught them [the hens] how to lay. After a few big nights [of celebrating] I had to sleep in the chicken coop anyway, so here I am.

‘They didn’t lay for six months, and now they’re on fire.’

Cameron also put up an Instagram post showing footage of him chasing one of his cows after he put his premiership medal around its neck.

While Geelong bowed out of last year’s finals race in agonising fashion when Brisbane just pipped them with a late burst in the preliminary final, they are expected to be contenders for the flag once again when their 2025 season kicks off with a rematch against the Lions on March 6.
