Four jockeys have been handed 10-day bans after an outsider stormed to victory at Lingfield on Tuesday.
In a shock result, Certain Style and jockey Tyrese Cameron were 22 lengths ahead of the competition when they crossed the finish line in the Apprentice Handicap.
The horse had never won a race in all her 16 starts prior to the event and was handed 28/1 odds of winning on the day – which made the victory even more of a shock.
After the race, former jockey Fergus Sweeney – who was on duty at Lingfield – told Sky Sports Racing: ‘We found the four jockeys guilty of failing to take all reasonable and permissible measures so therefore they all got 10 days.
‘In layman’s terms they rode a misjudged race and we went for the entry point as they are all inexperienced riders.’
It appeared as though the four apprentice jockeys seriously misjudged the pace and were left playing catch-up as they came round the bend but it was too little, too late.
The four jockeys and their horses included: Kyle McHugh on Gold Aura, Mason Paetel on Upepo, Warren Fentiman on Shaad and Chloe Lyons on Grand Duchess Olga.

Jockey coach George Baker later spoke on the incident and claimed that the four jockeys were left ‘absolutely gutted’ by the ban.
‘They feel they’ve let connections down, people who follow racing and they’re devastated they’ve made a big error in judgement in regards to letting Tyrese Cameron getting a freebie!,’ he explained.
Cameron, meanwhile, was left overjoyed at the result and insisted he got into ‘a lovely rhythm’ as he strolled to victory on Tuesday.
He said: ‘She jumped well, but there was only one front runner and I didn’t really give them time to go fast and when I got to the front she was in a lovely rhythm.
‘She was keen and free last time so I just wanted her to go her own rhythm. I didn’t want to get caught up wrestling her and I just wanted to keep her happy.
‘Turning in I had a bit of a look and nothing seemed to be coming and she was still going the same speed, she stays that trip all day long.’
