After meeting and marrying wife of ten years Amal Clooney, the sprawling home became the ‘private oasis’ where they have been raising their seven-year-old twins Ella and Alexander, as described by Amal in a 2018 Vogue interview.

Per TMZ, the residence is hidden behind trees, which afforded the family isolation.

The longtime couple also own homes in Italy, France and New York, making for a colorful real estate portfolio.

The sale of the home was confirmed by Westside Estate Agency Inc.’s Kurt Rappaport, who represented George in the business agreement.

George and Amal were as loved-up as ever on Thursday evening as they led the stars at the Clooney Foundation for Justice’s The Albies in New York City.

The actor praised his 46-year-old spouse, who is a British human rights lawyer, as they hosted the charity event which highlights justice defenders who risk their lives with their work.

The ceremony took place at the New York Public Library, aiming ‘to send a message to those who abuse human rights that the world is watching,’ according to the Albies website.

The Ocean’s star said he would ‘support his wife in anything she [is] involved in’ as he stood by her side in front of a room of famous faces.

And he told People on the event’s red carpet: ‘She’s always on the right side of history, and I’m always so proud to be in the same room with her no matter what and this is an event where we get to focus all the attention on the people who don’t get enough attention.’

Amal added about her beau: ‘He’s an amazing advocate, and it just means so much to me to be able to do this work together and for him to help bring to life some of the stories that we’re telling tonight.’

To mark their 10-year wedding anniversary on Friday, September 27, George teased that he had a surprise for Amal, saying: ‘I’m taking her somewhere tonight, but she doesn’t know where.’

George and the established civil rights attorney met in 2013 after being introduced by a mutual friend.
