Former Secret Service agent and podcaster Dan Bongino is one of the names people are kicking around as a possible choice to head up the Secret Service.
I’m not sure he would give up his show at this point to take the job, especially given that he just posted on Sunday that “Politics was such a sh** business” and that he is “happy to be on the outside.” Bongino also said the outside was where the “real action is” and “the show goes on.”

Of course, the folks who probably would be the best in such positions are the folks that don’t really want the power for power’s sake; Bongino likely would go in with the right mind to clean it up and certainly have the know-how to do so. One of the other names being tossed around is Sean Curran, who was the lead agent on Trump’s Secret Service detail — the guy on the right wearing the sunglasses, in the iconic picture of Trump right after he was shot.

But the subject of Bongino for the position came up on CNN Friday, where host Brianna Keilar asked Geraldo Rivera about Bongino. Both used to be on Fox together. Geraldo Rivera did offer positives about Bongino, saying he would do the job. But he also said there was no one he felt more “fiercely combative with” than Bongino and how if he saw him in a bar, he would probably “square off” with him. Alrighty, now. Some did say they would pay to see such a fight.

Sounds like Geraldo has a bit of a fixation on Bongino. Here’s one clip of how Geraldo lost his mind during a discussion with Bongino three years ago.

This is one of the best clips of Dan Bongino humiliating Geraldo on live Tv, priceless. pic.twitter.com/oZwAHbTpDM

Most people didn’t think that Geraldo would stand a chance against Bongino, with some noting how he managed to get a broken nose on his own show back in 1988.

Dan Bongino weighed in on Geraldo’s comments, and it sounds like he doesn’t think it would be much of a battle as he outlines in the “tale of the tape.”

The tale of the tape is a little rough on Geraldo.
Rivera: 81 years old, 5ft 9in, 160 lbs
Bongino: 49 years old, 6ft, 200 lbs https://t.co/VVMx6PVRYz— Dan Bongino (@dbongino) November 24, 2024
Most people didn’t think Geraldo would have much of a chance, and the smart money is on Bongino. Some wanted to see it on pay-per-view.
Same. better than Tyson v Paul.

I don’t think Geraldo would last six seconds. But given it’s Geraldo, it’s a comment that’s likely empty, not unlike Al Capone’s vault.
