- Luke Littler won the first world title of his career at the age of 17 last week
- He picked up £500,000 and has now jetted off to Benidorm to celebrate
- He surprised friends by showing up with his sister without telling anyone
Luke Littler has wasted little time in getting into party mode after jetting off to Benidorm to surprise friends less than a week after winning his first world title.
Littler, 17, overcame Michael van Gerwen 7-3 in last Friday’s final at Alexandra Palace, as he went one better than 12 months earlier when he was beaten by Luke Humphries in the final.
Having picked up a winner’s cheque of £500,000, Littler decided to jet off to Benidorm with his older sister, Caitlin, and his friends had no idea he was coming.
Caitlin posted the moment Littler stunned his mates on Instagram on Thursday, as she captured the teenage sensation walking through an outdoor bar with a black cap on before approaching a table of friends.
One of his friends spotted Littler and put his hands on his head in disbelief before embracing the darts star.
Caitlin, 22, captioned the video ‘love a good surprise’ as she shared the heartwarming moment with her followers.
She could soon become a star in her own right, having racked up over 27,000 followers on TikTok with glimpses into her sociable lifestyle.
The beauty queen has previously admitted to bleaching her naturally brown hair and getting lip filler to achieve her desired look.
Caitlin has been tipped for reality TV stardom, with culture and branding expert Nick Ede previously telling The Sun that Luke and Caitlin could even be set to become the ‘next Furys’ following the success of the Netflix show At Home With The Furys, which follows around heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury and his family.
But, for now, Caitlin is happy for Luke to take the spotlight, and she regularly posts about her brother’s achievements on social media.
In May, when Luke won the Premier League darts title for the first time, Caitlin told her Facebook friends she was the ‘proudest sister ever’.
She wrote on Facebook: ‘I actually have no words, what a birthday present! Proudest sister ever.
‘Everyone’s probably getting bored of me sharing posts about Luke but I can’t stop he’s just too good.’
She has now flown across Europe with Luke to celebrate his biggest win to date.
It will have to be a brief trip, though, as Luke is back in action next week at the Bahrain Open – a tournament that he won last year.
