Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya has announced his engagement to his model girlfriend Tatiana Trouboul ahead of the club’s match against Bournemouth.
The Spanish international took to social media on Friday night to share the news.
‘SHE SAID YES,’ Raya wrote, with the goalkeeper posting a series of photos of his proposal.
The goalkeeper was seen in one photo getting down on one knee to propose, with the couple embracing after Trouboul accepted.
Trouboul revealed on social media Raya had proposed earlier in the week.
‘Two days ago from the news and I still can’t believe it,’ she revealed.
‘Thank you so much for all the messages we are receiving. Being on a cloud and seeing how the people around us cheer for us fills our heart even more.’
Raya and Trouboul reportedly began dating in 2021 before going public with their relationship a year later.
The model had originally divided her time between Spain and London, while the couple now live together in North London.
The couple’s home is protected by an XL Bully dog after Raya reportedly received an exemption certificate after a ban came into force in February earlier this year.
Trouboul has been at several crucial moments in Raya’s career in recent years, as the goalkeeper has enjoyed a major rise.
She was present when he signed for Arsenal in an initial loan deal last year, with Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta taking a photo of the pair at the Gunners’ training ground.
Raya initially was expected to battle for the No 1 shirt with Aaron Ramsdale, but quickly emerged as Arsenal’s first choice goalkeeper.
Trouboul also supported Raya’s during this summer’s European Championships in Germany.
The goalkeeper played a single group stage match at the tournament, keeping a clean sheet against Albania.
Raya and Trouboul celebrated on the pitch after Spain were ultimately crowned European Championships, beating England 2-1 in the final.
The Arsenal star has been crucial part of their title challenging team, winning the Premier League’s Golden Glove award last season by keeping 16 clean sheets in 32 matches.
He has enjoyed another impressive start to this campaign, with Arsenal unbeaten in the top flight after seven matches and lying one point behind early leaders Liverpool and level with second placed Man City.
Raya shared news of his engagement ahead of the club’s trip to Bournemouth in the late kick-off on Saturday.
Arsenal would go top of the table with a victory, with Liverpool and defending champions Man City playing on Sunday.
