Hilarious: CNN Humiliates Itself with Huge Mistake While Discussing Trump’s Plans to Use Guantanamo Bay

CNN and MSNBC have been imploding in the ratings. Part of that is how terrible they are, and part of it is the rise of new media–and people no longer trusting the legacy media, with good reason.

The legacy media managed to embarrass themselves again this week by talking about a guy on the DOGE team and referring to him by a nickname: “Big Balls.” I think it was supposed to be an attack on DOGE, but it just made CNN look ridiculous with their focus on it.  Also recently, one of the network’s worst people, Jim Acosta, rage quit after he didn’t like that they were going to relegate him to a midnight slot. He left to start a Substack, which I find truly funny because I don’t think a lot of people are going to follow him there.

But they weren’t done with the embarrassment yet.

CNN certainly didn’t help itself with a big gaffe on Friday, when they were “reporting” on President Donald Trump’s plan to send the worst criminal illegal aliens to be incarcerated at Guantanamo Bay.

Anchor Boris Sanchez explained who had been held at the facility before, including alleged Al-Qaeda operative Abu Zubaydah who is still being held there. When they put up a graphic behind Sanchez to reference Zubaydah, they made a rather big mistake listing with whom he was associated. Instead of “Osama bin Laden,” they had “Obama Bin Laden” on the graphic.

That’s pretty hilarious. Hey CNN, there’s a bit of a difference between the two people, Barack Obama and Osama bin Laden.

I wonder if this happened because an employee was just trying to pull their leg. You have to ask: Do they just not care anymore? And you have to bet that once CNN started getting backlash, that someone is catching hell behind the scenes, and maybe will get their walking papers. Or that’s what might happen in an organization that was actually still working. Whatever is going on there, it’s just one more example of how bad CNN is in what they present. Did anyone even bother to check the graphic? Now, they have left an image that’s going to live forever on the internet.

Honestly, they’ve been wrong about so much, is this really all that surprising?

CNN also seems to want us to feel sorry for Zubaydah, when they use the graphic to list all the things he’d gone through. What does any of that have to do with Trump’s decision in regard to the worst criminal illegal aliens? It’s a completely gratuitous mention. If the purpose is to make people feel sorry for an alleged terrorist operative, it probably doesn’t really achieve its purpose.

But people certainly had great fun mocking CNN’s failure.
