Let’s be honest: Joe Biden will probably go down in history as the worst president in the history of the republic. Worse than Andrew Johnson and worse than Jimmy Carter.

Worse than even Barack Obama. And that’s really saying something.
But now the “White House,” by which we mean the outgoing Biden administration, is seeking to defend the befuddled president’s legacy by claiming that he is “leading by example.”
The White House is firing back and defending President Biden and his administration from intra-party criticism that he has not done enough to combat President-elect Donald Trump and help lay a solid foundation for the Democratic Party’s future once he leaves the Oval Office.
White House spokesperson Andrew Bates told Fox News Digital that Biden “is making every day of his term count,” pointing to his work to boost domestic manufacturing, fight climate change, lower drug costs, protect communities from gun violence, improve infrastructure and get judicial nominees confirmed.
“He is leading by example for the sake of American democracy, honoring his campaign promise to respect the will of the voters and provide an orderly transition,” Bates added.
How Andrew Bates managed to say all this with a straight face is beyond comprehension. Every policy Joe Biden’s administration has fostered and followed has done the opposite of what Bates claims, with the possible exception of ramrodding through some far-left activist judicial nominees. Were it not for the fact that Andrew Bates’ career is inextricably linked to the remnants of the Biden legacy, there’s no way he could have read that statement without breaking out in giggles.

Democrats outside the administration, however, are not amused.
The complaints against Biden from within his own party have ranged from disappointment over a lack of push back on Trump’s various nominees to disappointment over the president’s failure to implement additional protections for undocumented migrants amid concern Trump will deport them.
“This is one of the lamest of lame ducks we’ve seen with a Democratic administration,” said Usamah Andrabi, spokesman for the progressive group Justice Democrats.
“There is no leadership coming from the White House,” a Democrat close to senior lawmakers also said. “There is a total vacuum.”
Joe Biden’s presidency has been marked by failure and was capped by a disastrous debate performance against now President-elect and some (me) would argue Acting President Donald Trump. His own party used a big Looney-Tunes-style hook to yank him off the stage and replace him with the only Democrat who could fare worse in a presidential election than Joe himself. It was a comedy of errors from Day One, and now, today, Joe Biden is the lamest lame duck that ever quacked.

Joe Biden still technically occupies the Oval Office. His last days have been spent promising American taxpayer dollars to every Third World manure orifice on the planet and mumbling through prepared remarks of a dozen words or so. Meanwhile, his once and former opponent, Donald Trump, is meeting with world leaders and, using Mar-a-Lago as the Southern White House, acting more presidential than Joe Biden ever was – not that this is setting the bar very high.
No, President Biden is not leading by example. He’s setting an example, an example of what not to do. But at this point, not even the most hidebound Democrats would follow befuddled old Joe to an outhouse.
January 20th can’t come soon enough.
