Horror struck for a TV host when a failed magic trick saw a nail driven into her hand during a live broadcast, leaving her hospitalised.

While on air on Polish TV show Pytanie na Śniadanie – which translates to Question For Breakfast – host Marzena Rogalska was at the centre of the bloody accident as a result of a magician’s blunder.

The gory scenes saw Marzena assist in a live trick back in 2016 with Marcin Poloniewicz – who was one of Poland‘s Got Talent’s semi-finalists.

In a clip, which has resurfaced online, the real-life nightmare unfolds as she accidentally pierces her skin with a chunky nail.

Marcin used four brown paper bags, only one of which contained the sharp prop.

Confident in his skills, the illusionist slammed Marzena’s hand down on top of one of the bags.

But in a shocking blunder, as he slammed her hand down full force, the TV star screamed through the studio as the nail was pushed into her hand.

Lifting her hand back up, the nail could be seen hanging from her hand as she screamed in pain.

Marcin appeared oblivious to his mistake at first and appeared to laugh, but as he glanced down, he quickly realised she was not joking.

In a fit of panic, Marcin yanked the nail from her hand and swore, before adding: ‘I pierced her. Really I pierced her.’

With his hands around her shoulders, Marzena was guided out of the studio and was rushed to hospital for medical treatment.

Following the horrific incident, Marzena took to Facebook to clarify that she was okay.

She also confessed that the trick had originally gone to plan in show rehearsals.

She said: ‘He didn’t mean for this to happen.’
