How ending a shocking addiction to food condiment saw young woman shed a staggering 100 pounds in just months

A woman has revealed that she used to eat an entire jar of mayonnaise every day – and once she stopped she lost 100 pounds.

Content creator Rach, who has been documenting her weight loss on TikTok, recently opened up about what she would eat when she weighed 240lbs.

And Rach, who now weights 140lbs, admitted that she would normally eat an entire tub of Hellman’s mayo ‘maybe a day or every other day’ – which meant that she was going through a minimum of five jars of the condiment per week

‘I did not know this [at the time] – but one jar contains about 6,000 calories,’ the TikTok creator said in the video.

‘So I went through one jar a day – or maybe like half a jar a day – that’s an extra 6,000 calories of mayonnaise a day,’ she continued. ‘That’s 30,000 calories on mayonnaise a week.’

She added she’s ‘not ashamed or her mayonnaise consumption,’ but acknowledged that there wasn’t a need ‘to eat a jar everyday.’

‘I just went through a jar that easily,’ she shared. ‘And I know I’m not alone in this because I’ve been reading the comments.’

And it wasn’t just the calories that were racking up fast, but also the money she was spending.

Content creator Rach, who has been documenting her weight loss on TikTok, recently opened up about what she would eat when she weighed 240lbs

Rach estimated that she spent around $3.15 per jar on mayonnaise, which came out to almost $16 a week and $63 a month.

‘When I started losing weight, and I lost my 100 pounds, I probably have saved around 60,000 calories – which is wild – and also about [$63] a month,’ she shared.

As for how she overcame her ‘mayonnaise addiction,’ Rach explained in another video that she started making it herself using healthier items.

‘Chances are [if you’re trying to lose weight] the yogurt or the creamy other stuff people are suggesting to have on the weight loss journey is not working,’ she said. ‘It’s not your mayonnaise fix.’

Instead, Rach suggested making it at home with whole ingredients.

‘[It] did the world of wonders in the mayonnaise world,’ she claimed.

Rach made her own mayonnaise using four hard boiled eggs,  a cup of olive oil, some vinegar, and a heavy squeeze of lemon – and she blitzed it all together.

‘This is the mayonnaise I have been eating my entire eight loss journey, and well, look at me go,’ she pointed out.

When she was at her heaviest, Rach said she usually ate four slices of white bread, four scrambled eggs with butter on top, and about half a jar mayonnaise for breakfast, which came out to a whopping 2,840 calories.

Rach would then usually get a sandwich – with mayonnaise – for lunch, along with a snack, often chips or pie, and a soft drink or smoothie, which would equal about 1,790 calories.

For dinner, she would have a frozen pizza, garlic bread and mayonnaise, which was 3,400 calories, bringing her daily total to over 8,000 calories.

‘I’d get my jar of mayonnaise and dip every single slice and every bit of garlic bread into the jar,’ she shared.

Users were in shock over her mayonnaise consumption.

‘At first, I was like, “Girl be for real mayonnaise isn’t a big deal” but then you said a JAR A DAY?! My dear friend, that’s both incredible and horrifying,’ one user wrote.

‘Branded too?! You must be saving so much money,’ chimed in another.
