We’ve been reporting on how X owner and multi-billionaire Elon Musk has set the DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) loose and uncovered a wealth of ridiculous outlays by the federal government—using our tax dollars to fund things most Americans don’t support. Elon has absolutely leveled USAID, the “US Agency for International Development,” basically a slush fund for leftists to underwrite such worthy projects as pottery classes in Morocco, bat research on coronaviruses at China’s infamous Wuhan Institute of Virology, $20 million to create a “Sesame Street” in Iraq, $1.5 million to “advance diversity equity and inclusion in Serbia’s workplaces and business communities,” the list goes on… and on.

He’s uncovering abuse, waste, and fraud at other agencies as well—but how is he doing it so quickly? After all, the administration is barely two weeks old.
Turns out his team is using that new technological marvel—“incomprehensible advancement” to many of us—artificial intelligence. Matt Vespa, at our sister site, Townhall, reports:
The Washington Post had an interesting article about how Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency crew were weeding out the waste that’s engulfed the capital. I don’t know if the Post was trying to cast this off as creepy—I think it’s cool: the DOGE crew is using artificial intelligence to find spending cuts (via WaPo):
Representatives from Elon Musk’s U.S. DOGE Service have fed sensitive data from across the Education Department into artificial intelligence software to probe the agency’s programs and spending, according to two people with knowledge of the DOGE team’s actions…
The DOGE team is using AI software accessed through Microsoft’s cloud computing service Azure to pore through every dollar of money the department disburses, from contracts to grants to work trip expenses, one of the people said. Lower level department staffers were directed by agency leadership to let Musk’s teams access the sensitive financial data, the person said.

DOGE and Musk have stirred up major controversy, and the left is pulling their hair out as they watch themselves get relentlessly exposed for prioritizing virtually every woke cause you can think of instead of the daily lives of regular Americans.
I don’t pretend to understand every nuance of artificial intelligence—like many of our readers, I suspect, I’m adjusting to its emergence and trying to make sense of its capabilities. Musk, however, is a zillionaire for a reason, and that’s because he is willing to accept, understand, and harness new tech at a rate that no one else on this planet seems to be able to do. The garbage priorities our hard-earned dollars are being spent on is quite simply astounding:

If this is being weaponized to screw over the political class, trim the fat from government, and expose the waste and corruption as we’ve seen over the past few weeks, then so be it. Keep feeding that AI machine, which we’ll call Skynet but without the genocidal tendencies.
He’s referring of course to one of my favorite movies of all time, “The Terminator,” and I’m on board. Destroy this nonsense—with prejudice.
