I finally found a pretty bin for the kitchen that I don’t need to hide – and a set is just $55 from Kmart

An everyday item has caught the attention of budget shoppers thanks to its sleek design.

Kmart Australia’s new set of pedal bins has skyrocketed in popularity for its chic finish and affordable price tag.

The $55 set includes one large 30L bin and a matching small 4.5L bin.

Nikita, from Sydney, spotted the buy in stores and knew it would match her ‘neutral’ home perfectly.

Pleased with her purchase, she shared a now-viral TikTok that’s exceeded more than 46,000 views.

‘One of my favourite Kmart finds! Spent so long trying to find a bin that suits our home and this one is absolute perfection,’ she captioned the video.

While the product seems mundane, other shoppers raved about it in the comments.

‘So boring but have also been also looking for a new bin! You’ve influenced me,’ one wrote.

‘Wait it’s so cute,’ another said.

‘Omg I just put mine in my kitchen today, it’s actually so beautiful,’ a third added.

The beige bins feature a soft close lid, carry handle and an internal plastic liner with a handle.

Last month hundreds of shoppers are rushing to Kmart Australia to get their hands on a ‘genius’ $5 kitchen gadget.

The new Chicken Shredder is conveniently designed to effortlessly shred cooked meat.

The device quietly launched across stores and online but it didn’t take long for eagle-eyed shoppers to notice the hot buy on shelves.

One dedicated customer, who goes by Foodie Mumma Ren, spotted the product in stores and shared an image with her Facebook followers.

The affordable item can be used by placing the chicken inside, popping the lid on and lifting the handles up and down.

While most people tend to shred chicken using two forks and a bowl, the gadget removes the fuss when preparing meals.

The Facebook post quickly caught the attention of others – but opinions were divided.

‘Do I need it? Probably not. Do I want it? Absolutely!’ one person wrote.

Another said: ‘Omg no way.’

One person pointed out: ‘People like me who have disabilities and issues with dexterity, grip, strength, etc would love this. If you don’t need it, don’t buy it.’

However, some shoppers dubbed it as a ‘useless appliance’ since other products can be used to shred chicken.

‘Two forks for the win! This thing would be impossible to clean,’ one said.

‘How lazy can we get?’ another asked.

Others agreed and said the product will likely be a ‘nightmare’ to clean.

It comes as the budget department store released a fashionable shirt that looks similar to styles retailing for $120.

The Short Sleeve V-Neck Tie Front Top has been compared to the Dissh Emelia White Linen Wrap Shirt, which costs $119.99.

One shopper behind the popular page Kmart Insider spotted the ‘dupe’ and raved about it online.

‘Kmart preparing us for resort life with this new linen blend top that looks just like Dissh!’ the Instagram caption read.

Both short sleeve shirts feature a tie-up front, drop shoulder and v-neck design that’s perfect to wear to the office or the beach.

However, the Dishh version is made from 100 per cent linen while the Kmart alternative is made from a blend of linen and viscose.

The relaxed fit is stylish, trendy and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. The Kmart top is also so popular it’s sold out online.
