I tried the $25 ‘It girl’ shirt from Kmart that everyone’s talking about. I’ll never buy designer again

Kmart Australia has left its fashion-forward fans reeling again after dropping a $25 dupe of a popular $130 buy.

The Long Sleeved Oxford shirt happens to look almost identical to the Rhea cotton shirt from Dishh.

The Kmart version of the shirt is slightly lighter, has a different ‘squiggle’ on the shirt pocket… and is $105 cheaper.

If it wasn’t for the squiggle, it’s so close to the original that the team at Kmart Insider claim no one will know the difference.

And subscribers to the popular page agree, with many labelling the buy ‘epic’, ‘stunning’ and ‘a must buy for 2025’.

‘They’re gonna know… HOW WOULD THEY KNOW? This is a must have,’ one woman declared.

‘This could easily be adapted into a chic night time look too, love it,’ one woman added.

But others have been left fuming at the ‘blatant’ copy.

‘Is this is as oversized as the Dissh one? At this point I’m just mad I spent 130 bucks on the Dissh one,’ one woman fumed.

‘This is a blatant Dissh copy. I don’t think it’s fair to copy this much,’ added a second.

This isn’t the first time high-end lookalikes have been spotted on the shelves..

The budget retailer is now selling a pair of Buckle Slingback Ballet Flats, available in three colours – red, black and white – that closely resemble Ganni’s range of Feminine Buckle Ballerinas.

Both brands’ pointed-toe flats have similar features, including metal eyelet detailing, buckle-strap fastenings and low stacked heels.

Upon a closer look, Kmart’s shoes have a single row of metal eyelet detailing on each strap, while the Danish fashion brand’s off-white version has two rows.

Fashion-conscious shoppers suggested the cheaper shoes offer an affordable alternative to the designer label, especially for those who can’t afford to spend hundreds of dollars.

‘We can’t get enough of this $25 Ganni lookalike from Kmart,’ Aussie fashion blogger behind Kmart Insider said on Instagram.

Bargain hunters have confirmed the cheaper flats are ‘so comfy’ while others shared that they were ‘running’ to Kmart to grab a pair.

‘The Kmart versions are amazing in these shoes. So good in fact they are selling out everywhere,’ one said.
