I’m A Celebrity Australia drops huge hint about cast member’s identity as their VERY famous friends are revealed ahead of series debut

Channel Ten has dropped a huge hint about the identity of the ‘comedy king’ set to appear on the upcoming season of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Australia.

The show’s official Instagram page took to the platform on Friday to share a huge list of the mystery comedian’s very A-list friends.

The post features photographs of Russell Crowe, Mel B and Pat Rafter and teased that they are all friends with the unidentified comedian.

‘They’re all famous contacts found in our comedy king’s phone,’ the caption read.

Fans were sent into a frenzy with the exciting clues and speculated that the comedian was most likely an Australian household name.

New Zealand actor Russell, 60, and Aussie tennis champion Pat, 52, both live in Australia, while former Spice Girl Mel B has spent considerable time in Australia.

The singer notably served as panelist on Channel Ten’s The Masked Singer Australia last year, before the show was axed from the network.

Speculating about the identity of the unnamed funnyman, many fans shared their hopes that Tim Minchin could be appearing on the reality TV series.

‘Tim Minchin?’ one person guessed while another suggested Dave Hughes.

‘Tommy Little,’ a third user chipped in.

It comes just days after radio host Tommy appeared to drop a major hint he is joining the line-up for the 2025 series.

Earlier this week, he posted a video to Instagram which showed him wearing a wide brim hat with a cord while surrounded by trees.

One fan then asked Tommy whether he was heading ‘into the jungle’, and the well-known star failed to shut down the theory.

In fact, he instead fuelled the speculation by simply responding to the post with the shushing face emoji.

The Channel 10 series is set to drop on January 19 and a whole host of Aussie stars have already been tipped to be joining the series.

Comedian Kitty Flanagan, former Bachelorette Georgia Love and Married at First Sight bride Ella Ding have all been rumoured to be joining the show, which will once again be hosted by Robert Irwin and Julia Morris.

There’s also talk that two-time Big Brother winner Reggie Bird will be packing her bags for South Africa for what will be the show’s eleventh season.

The speculation kicked off when a now-deleted Instagram post teased the cast would include ‘a Radio Star, a Chart-Topper and a Stadium Superstar’.

The post also said the cast would include a ‘comedy Genius, a Pop Culture Icon, a Star of the Silver Screen, a Matinee Idol, a Leading Lady, a Sporting Hero and a Football Strongman’.

Fans have speculated that Sigrid Thornton, best known for 1982’s Man from Snowy River, could be the ‘star of the silver screen,’ while others have theories that it could be Bump creator Claudia Karvan.

Chicken Shop Date’s sensation Amelia Dimoldenberg has also been put forward as a suggestion for ‘the British girl’ alongside Jordana Grace and Maddie Grace Jepson.

Producers always drop huge hints about the cast members each year and they have teased that one cast member will be an ‘influencer with a taste for love’.

Others added to the theory that Tommy Little will be entering the jungle, just days after he appeared to drop a major hint he is joining the line-up for the 2025 series in a video

The clue could be referring to a number of high-profile former reality stars, with fans speculating it might be Ella Ding, Georgia Love or MAFS bride Jessika Power.

‘She’s conquered one house, but can she conquer camp?,’ teased another online clue that could point to two-time Big Brother winner Reggie Bird.

Drag Race Down Under star Kween Kong has also been tipped after producers leaked online that ‘reality royalty’ would be joining this season’s cast.

Another cast member is said to be a ‘real life’ hero that might ‘need to be rescued’, which could be a cheeky reference to Bondi rescue star Bruce ‘Hoppo’ Hopkins.

As for the ‘football strongman’, host Robert Irwin dropped a big hint in a recent trailer telling viewers: ‘From the roar of the crowd to the roar of the lions.’

His telling clue left some fans convinced that AFL Brisbane Lions champ Joe Daniher will be joining the camp.
