Influencer couple Campbell ‘Pookie’ Puckett and Jett Puckett have revealed that the new mom recently had to have surgery to remove a precancerous mass.
Jett, 33, who welcomed a baby girl with Campbell, 32, on November 12, took to his wife’s TikTok page Wednesday afternoon to give her 1.4million followers the devastating news, as he held back tears, saying: ‘It’s been so scary.’
‘Hey guys, I’ve got a little bit of a different update today – Pookie had to have surgery to remove some pre-cancer. We found out about this a while back. It’s been very scary, especially for me,’ Jett said.
‘I am so madly in love with Campbell that the thought of anything at all being wrong with her is frankly more than I can bear,’ Jett added.
It is unclear exactly what kind of pre-cancer Campbell had. Pre-cancer is described as an abnormal growth of cells, that have the potential to develop into the disease if left untreated.
Despite him feeling emotional about her health struggles, the devoted husband said his wife and mother of their baby girl Paloma, has been ‘incredibly brave’ through it all.
‘Campbell on the other hand has been incredibly strong, incredibly brave about this. She just always has this tremendously strong faith that everything is gonna work out.
‘I really love and cherish that about her. Her strength leading up to this surgery was just remarkable. I could not be more proud of her,’ he added.
The new father said his wife’s surgery ‘went well’ and that the doctor ‘is cautiously optimistic that we’ll be good to go now.’
Jett, who constantly showers Campbell with gifts, including a lavish push present – a $12,000 Hermès Kelly handbag – then turned the camera to reveal a bouquet of four dozen white roses and the ‘iconic Pookie salad’ and a cookies and cream milkshake from Chick-fil-A.
He walked into their beautiful Atlanta home and gave the thoughtful presents to his wife resting in bed.
Campbell immediately got emotional as she called the flowers ‘the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen.’
‘I really didn’t want to cry. You’re just the best,’ she told her husband.
He went on to tell her how ‘remarkable’ she is, as she smiled and teared up. ‘I know everything is fine, I just try to stay positive for us and for Paloma. She’s the best,’ Campbell said.
‘It just means a lot to have you be so strong for me,’ she added, as Jett told her he loves her and that they’re ‘the ultimate team.’
Days after welcoming their first child, Campbell shared their daughter’s beautiful name and the meaning behind it.
She wrote a lengthy tribute to her daughter and explained the significance of the name and revealed that Paloma was conceived in Italy.
‘Paloma Campbell Puckett. Bringing our daughter into the world was the purest joy we have ever felt. Her name Paloma is Spanish and Italian and means “dove.” Our little angel was conceived in Italy,’ she penned.
‘Across cultures, the dove symbolizes love, peace, purity, and faith. Her middle name, Campbell, is my mother’s maiden name and of course where I got my name. We wanted to keep the name in our family.’
‘The past few days have been the greatest days of my life. Jett is already the most incredible dad, I can’t stop crying seeing them together. We love you all so much. Thank you for the outpouring of love you have shown us and our daughter,’ she finished.
On the day she shared Paloma was born, tears welled up in her eyes as she cradled their newborn baby girl.
‘She’s here and we are so in love,’ she wrote in her caption alongside the video and the hashtags: ‘#pookie,’ ‘#baby,’ ‘#love’ and ‘#couple.’
The new parents also shared a series of photos of them welcoming their newborn baby into the world alongside the caption: ‘Best day of our lives.’
In one photo, Campbell was seen with an endearing grin on her face as she admired their newborn daughter sleeping on her chest.
The couple also took photos prior to giving birth; one snapshot showed Campbell cradling her baby bump in the hospital bed and another showed Jett leaning over to give her a kiss.
There was also an adorable picture of Campbell smiling brightly as Jett kissed her cheek.
Then, Campbell was seen in photos after giving birth and holding their baby on her chest.
One of the photos showed their baby’s tiny fingers resting on her mom’s chest and Campbell had a tear running down her cheek in the touching moment.
When the couple – who tied the knot in April 2018 – announced they were expecting their first child over the summer, Jett gifted Campbell a $5,400, limited-edition Dior handbag after.
Jett had set up the Dior boxes, along with white flowers and large letters that read, ‘Pookie’ on their kitchen island, while Campbell stood there with her eyes closed.
‘Alright, pregnant Pookie has been in South of France on a girls’ trip for the last seven days, I’m so excited for her to be home and I want her to know how much I missed her,’ Jett began.
He then told Campbell that she could open her eyes.
‘I cannot wait for the rest of our lives together, and I cannot wait for our child,’ Jett said, as he showed her the decorated counter.
Almost immediately, Campbell began to sob, telling her husband just how much she loved him.
‘It’s only seasonal,’ Jett explained. ‘This print may never be made again.’
