Jason Whitlock reveals why Stephen A. Smith can become US president in extraordinary rant about ESPN star

Jason Whitlock launched an extraordinary 45-minute attack on Stephen A. Smith – involving Kamala Harris, Barack Obama, the Covid vaccine and 9/11 – after a shock poll revealed the ESPN star has more political support than many big-name Democrats.

Whitlock accused Smith of being a ‘plant’, citing the ‘Building 7’ 9/11 conspiracy theory and making the baseless claim that Disney, the NBA and ‘the powerful elite’ are conspiring to ‘install their puppet’ in the Oval Office as part of a ‘well-orchestrated… dangerous’ plan.

Earlier this week, John McLaughlin – Donald Trump’s chief pollster – asked  1,000 general election voters who they would back if the 2028 Democratic primary election for President was held today.

Two percent said they would choose Smith, more than backed the likes of Beto O’Rourke – who ran for the nomination in 2020 – and JB Pritzker, the governor of Illinois (both one percent).

Whitlock claimed the system has been ‘rigged’ and warned ‘naive’ voters that there is a real possibility Smith – who he called a ‘clown’ a ‘fraud’ and an ‘idiot’ – could reach the nation’s highest office.

‘There’s no one with a functioning brain who would watch Stephen A. Smith on ESPN and say: “Yeah, that man should be president”‘ Whitlock said.

Whitlock attacked Barack Obama during his remarkable rant about Smith's political ambitions

‘(But) Anybody sitting there now (thinking) he could never be president, America is not that stupid. Yes we are. And I say that because yes we can and yes we did,’ he said.

‘Think it through. Donald Trump went from the Apprentice – a TV show – to the President of the United States…

‘If you can get Kamala Harris close to the presidency – Vice President – you think (Disney CEO) Bob Eiger and Disney don’t think they couldn’t install Stephen A. Smith as president?’

Whitlock added: ‘He’s backed by some of the most powerful people in America. They’re using him for a purpose… my next prediction is they’re going to try to manipulate and stir up enough racial division during these next four years of Donald Trump.

‘(Then) they’re going to convince (people)… we need a unifier and they’re going to run out Stephen A.Smith… will they be successful? Who knows. Is this what they’re doing? Absolutely.’

The ESPN star has previously teased a possible run for president and his recent comments on the 2024 election have gone viral.

Whitlock – who has been in a long-running feud with Smith – also took aim at Harris and Obama as he explained why Smith could win an election.

Whitlock branded Kamala Harris 'perhaps indisputably - the worst vice president' ever

He branded Harris ‘perhaps indisputably – the worst vice president we’ve ever had’. He called Pete Buttigieg a ‘nut job’ and ‘mentally ill’.

He questioned Obama’s heritage and education. He took aim at the ex-president over same sex marriage and transgender rights.

‘And black people – and white people, liberals – worship Barack Obama,’ Whitlock said.

‘And you think Disney, Bob Eiger, the people backing Stephen A. Smith think they can’t get you to worship Stephen A. Smith. Are you kidding me? You’re the naive people,’ he said. ‘This is the selling of Stephen A. Smith’

Smith recently shocked Bill Maher’s audience with his blunt verdict on why Donald Trump won a second term in the White House – and why he feels like a ‘damn fool’ for supporting Kamala Harris.
