Vice President and selected Democrat nominee Kamala Harris is set to make her “closing argument” on Tuesday evening to the American people. A crowd of 40,000 is expected to attend this speech on the Ellipse, where Harris plans to offer a split screen juxtaposing January 6 (God help us) with whatever screed she has planned to reinforce that she is the person who can turn the page on former President and GOP nominee Donald Trump and his fascism and divisiveness; despite the fact that she herself cannot seem to turn the page on divisiveness.

One of Harris’ major donors has warned that these attacks on Trump’s character are not very effective, and if anything, they have driven voters away from Harris and into Trump’s camp.
Kamala Harris has been warned against calling Donald Trump a “fascist” because it is not cutting through with voters.
Future Forward, the leading pro-Harris Super political action committee (PAC), said in an email circulated to Democrats that its internal testing showed attacks on the Republican’s character were “not that persuasive”, The New York Times reports.
Ms Harris said at a town hall event last week that she believed Trump was a fascist, agreeing with the characterisation made by John Kelly, his former chief of staff. She also repeated Mr Kelly’s claim that the former president had praised Adolf Hitler.
Future Forward said in the same email that the Harris campaign’s claim that her opponent was “exhausted” was also falling flat with voters.
Instead, it urged Democrats to focus on the vice-president’s proposals on the economy and abortion rights, and to set up a contrast with Trump on these topics.
But, in for a penny, in for a pound, Harris is standing firm on this final argument even while she is being buried by her crumbling campaign. On Sunday, Trump made his final argument at the Madison Square Garden rally. Despite the Left doubling down on the Hitler/Nazi narrative and a poorly-timed comedian’s joke, which the Left tried to further but actual voters have dismissed, Trump’s vision of unity, the spirit of optimism, and literal diversity at the MSG rally further erodes Harris’ failing and ineffective narrative.

What is effective is Trump’s countermand to Harris’ speech. On Tuesday morning, Trump held an impromptu press conference at Mar-a-Lago, where he cogently hammered home the destruction Kamala Harris has brought to the country and why giving her four more years would be disastrous. Despite the dancing, deception, and word salad reasoning, Harris has not been able to divest herself from blame for the Biden-Harris border crisis and her pivotal role as the Border Czar. More recent reports have uncovered further evidence of the degree of the damage enacted because of Harris’ negligence.
The number of migrants who have crossed illegally into the US under Kamala Harris is 25 per cent higher than official figures suggest, The Telegraph can reveal.
Almost nine million people have headed across the border since Ms. Harris became vice-president and was tasked with tackling the “root causes” of illegal immigration from Central America more than three years ago.
Critics accused the White House of attempting to “launder” migration figures and deliberately misrepresent its record on border security.
Data released monthly by US Customs and Border Protection shows some 7.15 million people tried to enter the country illegally since Joe Biden and Ms. Harris had their first full month in office.
However, when immigration data is collated every month it does not include those who evaded detection by Border Patrol, known as “gotaways”.
A Freedom of Information request submitted by The Telegraph shows that the agency calculates an extra 1.8 million migrants crossed the US’s southern, northern and coastal borders without being apprehended between February 2021 and September 2024.

Trump effectively connected this negligence and disregard to the real humans who have paid the incalculable price for Harris’ terrible leadership and policies. Trump showed the video of Alexis Nungaray, whose 12-year-old daughter Jocelyn Nungaray was raped and murdered at the hand of two illegal aliens who were in the country as a result of Harris’ throwing the border wide open. This heartbreaking video was first released on Monday, and it has already received hundreds of thousands of views across multiple social media platforms.

When the video concluded, Trump said:
So, I know we talk about inflation and the economy, but to me there’s nothing more important than the fabric of our country being destroyed by people placed there, violently placed there as far as I’m concerned, foolishly, stupidly placed there. I think what’s happening on the border is the single biggest issue. I’m seeing it more and more when I speak.

Trump put a finer point on the cost of Harris’ border policies on the Nungarays.
But what Kamala did to Jocelyn and her family is the most heartless, and cold-blooded betrayal imaginable. Thousands of cases just like that. Thousands.
Investigative journalist Michael Shellenberger, who was part of the exposure of government’s collusion with Big Tech, has taken note of the increasing rubble around Kamala Harris’ feet as a result of her deceptions and falsehoods. Shellenberger sees this as a clear sign that Americans have had enough of Wokeism and the failure of Harris to win her argument is a testament to the country’s rejection of the politicians and policies that represent this mindset and its furtherance.
The dam has broken. The vast majority of Americans have always hated Wokeism. They now feel safe to say so. As such, we’re living through an epochal political realignment — and an exceedingly dangerous political moment. There’s no telling what the regime will do to retain power. https://t.co/NTeo22Jbc8

Whatever Harris plans to say tonight, her words will be useless to shore up what appears to be a campaign in freefall. However, as Shellenberger warns, Americans need to gird their loins against the backlash. While this regime dislikes being ignored, they take even less kindly to being rejected.
