Karma: Brett Kavanaugh Delivers Fitting Coup de Grace to Kamala Harris’ Failed Presidential Candidacy

Not surprisingly, Inauguration Day 2025 has been filled with so many noteworthy moments in terms of the symbolism behind some of the things that have been said and done by many of the power players involved including former President Joe Biden, newly sworn-in President Donald Trump, and Vice President JD Vance,

First, there was Biden, with his 11th-hour preemptive presidential pardons of various family members as well as disgraced, bad-faith critics of Trump, actions that will solidify the 46th POTUS as one of the most spiteful and corrupt presidents America has ever seen.

Then there were Trump and Vance, with a triumphant Trump giving an epic acceptance speech that capped off one of the most remarkable political comebacks in American history. As for Vance, he no doubt had to pinch himself in thinking of how far he’d come from his days in Appalachia being raised by his grandmother while his mother fought addiction, to becoming a Marine, a husband and father, then a United States Senator – and then his country’s Vice President.

But there was another iconic moment that, while it didn’t get as much attention as some of the others, deserves to be highlighted considering where some of those involved were six and a half years ago versus where they are present day.

Many of us remember the highly contentious Brett Kavanaugh Supreme Court confirmation hearings in the fall of 2018 where then-Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) joined in on the disgusting “gang rape” smearing of Kavanaugh, which prompted the swooning and swaying of some in the mainstream media and murmurings of a 2020 presidential run in the process.

“Harris has been preparing for a potential presidential run since before Kavanaugh’s nomination, spending heavily to expand her email list while raising money for Democrats across the country,” Politico reported at the time.

Harris and her fellow Democrats, of course, failed to derail Kavanaugh’s eventual confirmation. She did indeed run for president the following year and yet dropped out of the race before a single primary vote was cast after a dismal showing in Democrat primary polling.

She ran again in the summer/fall of 2024 under the vice presidential banner after her party and wealthy Democrat donors forced her boss, then-President Joe Biden, out of the race.

She lost that one, too.

The second time around had to be the most painful (and humiliating) of all for her, however, considering she lost not just to the Democrats’ arch nemesis but also because it was Justice Kavanaugh who swore in her replacement on Monday as she looked on:

You love to see it. You truly do.
