White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre looks like she’s been dying to get out of there. She was all smiles at her last briefing, and even had some fond words for Fox’s Peter Doocy — before she sort of came back at him on another question.

But on Wednesday, she went out in her final briefing as she has all along: doing a terrible job and not answering the questions.
She was asked if she would have done anything differently, upon reflection. She said she hadn’t had time to reflect, but she “will have a lot of time to reflect” on it. But she didn’t add anything about her being cool with all the lying she does for Joe Biden.
Reporter: Is there anything you wish you had done or said differently during your time as Press Secretary?
KJP: I haven’t had any time to reflect.

Then KJP was asked about the State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller saying the Trump team was an important part in the Israel-Hamas ceasefire deal getting over the line. Jean-Pierre refused to admit that, and said she wouldn’t respond to a “random person.” The reporter told her it was her own colleague.
Jacqui Heinrich: Why is it that you seem unwilling to extend any credit to Trump for the ceasefire deal?
KJP: *gives long winded nonanswer*
Jacqui: Will you just say your view, which seems to be that Trump gets no credit?
KJP: *more nonanswers, moves on, despite objections* pic.twitter.com/rNeP1j5usM

Reporter: Your colleague in the State Dept said Trump was critical in getting the ceasefire deal over the line.
KJP: I’m not going to speak to a random person

She claimed it had been “going on for some time.” Then why wasn’t there a deal before, and is Miller admitting the Trump team was important in the process? Now, it remains to be seen if it will all spool out as expected, given that it’s Hamas. The deal is reportedly for all the hostages, but in phases, with 33 to start with in the first phase.

Then KJP wouldn’t provide any of the details, and said that the NSC’s Brett McGurk would provide details on a “call” — so she wouldn’t have to get grilled on it live. They don’t miss a trick.
But there was more drama surrounding that issue, according to Fox’s Jacqui Heinrich. While KJP was not willing to answer the questions and she’s farming it out to McGurk, she blocked NSC spokesperson John Kirby from the briefing.
Zero news made in KJP’s final briefing. She had no details on the ceasefire/hostage deal that will end 400 days of fighting, a defining element of Biden’s presidency – instead directing reporters to an NSC background call.

Sources familiar with the situation tell me KJP blocked John Kirby from briefing the press on the ceasefire, wanting to keep the spotlight to herself.
Of course. She has to have a petty shot at Kirby because she can’t stand that many people thought he answered questions better than she did. That’s how small-minded this team is.

Then there was one final petty move from KJP. She was asked if she had had any conversation with Karoline Leavitt, the incoming Trump White House Press Secretary. She said she hadn’t even talked to her, then laughed as she left the room.
Reporter: Have you been in touch with Karoline yet?
KJP: I’ve not been in touch with her, but I certainly wish her luck.
Reporter: Wait, why have you not been in touch with her?
KJP shrugs and says, “come talk to me in the back” then walks away laughing. pic.twitter.com/MVRkqbdj1H

So much for smooth transition or simple communication from a press secretary. You also had Kamala Harris blowing off the Vances moving into the Naval Observatory, for them to prepare/get some idea of all the details so they could plan for their young children living there. They had to get help from staff and Doug Emhoff.
