Kroger pharmacy has suffered an outage in the US, leaving Americans unable to access their medication.
Customers said the pharmacy cannot provide them with prescriptions due to all systems being down.
Kroger is one of the nation’s largest groce with nearly 2,800 stores in with nearly 2,800 stores in 35 states operating under 28 different names.
However, its pharmacy is exclusively located within Kroger grocery stores.
Marianne Wellendorf Matthes shared on X: Kroger pharmacy in Gahanna Ohio is completely closed because their “system” is down. They can’t even hand people their Rx’s that are ready.’
Kroger states it has more than 2,250 pharmacies that serve 17 million patients annually.
Customers have also cited issues with the dedicated app, saying it is crashing when they attempt to make purchases.
Michigan local Ali Heffernan, who appears to work at Kroger, shared in a Facebook group: ‘Anyone who ordered through Kroger pickup at any store! All store systems are down.
‘We have no internet, no way to look up phone numbers to call customers, we cannot pick your orders or process your orders if you come to the store! This is STATEWIDE!
‘No EBT payments in the store! Fuel centers are completely down. Our phone lines are also down. No ETA when this will be fixed!’
Another Michigan resident shared: ‘Kroger phone system is down along with the pharmacy system. unknown eta. Will update when we are back up.’
The grocer was hit by a previous outage in September 2024, knocking out its app that lets users purchase items for pickup.
The outage affected all of Kroger’s brands, including Dillons.
