Kyle Sandilands‘ appearance has sparked more concern after his shock aneurysm diagnosis.
After breaking the news of his condition to his listeners on Monday, the KIIS FM star revealed on Friday that surgeons will have to open his skull, rather than have keyhole surgery, to access the aneurysm.
A clip of Kyle discussing the procedure showed him turning his head to reveal a cluster of dark spots near his right temple and on his cheekbone.
Kyle confirmed on Monday that the spots were the result of an unrelated procedure.
‘He had some sun spots cryogenically frozen off last week, not related to condition,’ a representative told Daily Mail Australia.
Meanwhile, Kyle’s clip was met with a flurry of concern, with fans flooding the comments to wish him well.
‘Oh Kyle, my mother had the same,’ one fan offered. ‘She’s 10 years past surgery and still living her best life.
‘Thoughts and love to you and your family. I’m also a nurse so I know there’s lots of positives to having found it early on.’
Another jumped in with an encouraging: ‘This is so scary for you and your family. Sending all my love and strength to you all.
‘We adore you Kyle. You are strong and you will kick its a**!!!’
Summing up the sentiment of many, a third bouyed Kyle’s spirits with: ‘Sending lots of love to Kyle, Tegan and baby Otto. You got this Kyle.’
On Friday, Kyle also revealed his diet ahead of his surgery.
Jackie shared a photo to her Instagram story on Friday that showed her sitting in the KIIS FM studios.
Kyle, who is doing the radio show from the comfort of his home, was in the frame behind Jackie holding a large plate filled with a huge pile of bacon rashers.
‘Breakfast of champions,’ Jackie cheekily captioned the photo.
Kyle also revealed on air that he drinks 15 cups of coffee a day.
He said that doctors had advised him to cut back to just two cups, warning that if he didn’t, there would be a 25 per cent chance of having a heart attack within the next five years.
Astonishingly, Kyle appears to have already halved his daily coffee intake.
Speaking to the News Corp back in 2017, he admitted to downing an eye-watering 30 cups every day.
The huge figure included 12 during his 6am to 9am breakfast shift.
Kyle confirmed on Friday he has to have a second surgery to remove another aneurysm which has been found in his chest.
‘The [brain] aneurysm is at a Y junction and it is at the top. The shape of it has limited the operation they can do. The only option to get to it is to [open the skull],’ he told Jackie.
‘That means I will have this huge scar from the forehead to top of my ear and they would have to drill a hole in my skull, go into the brain and clip it off.’
Kyle revealed the doctor told him he will have less problems ‘leaving it and monitoring it’ until it gets bigger.
‘As soon as I do any procedure my risk goes right up. He told me to take the weekend to think about it,’ Kyle said, before revealing the second surgery.
‘They found another one in my chest and that’s a separate surgery and I have very bad calcium buildup in the heart where I’m likely to have a heart attack.’
Jackie asked: ‘What do you do about that?’
‘I need to have surgery for that as well,’ Kyle revealed.
Kyle made the bombshell admission he has a brain aneurysm and requires immediate emergency brain surgery on Monday.
‘On Friday, I was told by my medical team – which sounds like I’m already very sick, that I have a brain aneurysm. It requires immediate attention, brain surgery,’ he said.
‘My doctor said if I didn’t get it checked, I would have died. A life of cocaine abuse and partying are not the way to go!’
