Lauren Sanchez posted an ominous message about mistakes on her Instagram Stories days after an awkward interview about her upcoming wedding to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
On Saturday, the former journalist re-shared the cryptic note on her Stories, which read: ‘There is no shame in making mistakes while trying to figure things out. The goal is to live a fulfilling life, not a perfect one.’
On Wednesday’s Today show with Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie, Sanchez reluctantly gave viewers a sneak peek of her wedding preparations after Guthrie asked for an update.
‘So, you asked?’ the 54-year-old bride-to-be cracked, as she was met with a laugh from both cohosts.
Although a bit sheepish, she did share a bit about what was happening with her nuptials.
‘Very excited about it, thinking about the dress, I have to say, I do have a Pinterest, I’m just like every other bride, so I do have a Pinterest board,’ Sanchez admitted.
Sanchez, who has been engaged to Bezos since May 2023, has not publicly announced her wedding date, but The US Sun reported that it was happening in Aspen this winter.
During the segment, she also admitted that at age 54, she never thought her life would be where it was right now.
‘I never thought at, I’m gonna be 55, that you know, I’d be an author, that I’d be getting married, I mean life is just beginning,’ the helicopter pilot admitted.
‘When I was 20, I thought, “Oh my gosh, life is over at 50,” let me tell you, it is not, ladies,’ the mogul reassured the audience.
‘It is not over, it is just beginning. It just gets better and better, and I always say when women are like, “Oh what is it like turning 50?” It’s just the beginning.’
This isn’t the first time in recent months that Sanchez has dropped hints about her wedding and life with Bezos.
In September, the journalist told Extra TV that she was getting ‘really excited’ about her nuptials.
She even called the Amazon founder ‘the man of [her] dreams.
‘You know what I’m most excited about? I get to marry the man of my dreams,’ Sanchez told the outlet at the time.
Last week, Sanchez made headlines by putting on a busty display while stunning in a lacy black dress and donning a necklace inspired by her fiancé.
She showed some skin in the short, low-cut dress with knee-high black boots and and a red trench coat hanging off her shoulder.
In addition to flaunting her cleavage, the former journalist also showcased her love for her billionaire beau as she sported a diamond letter ‘B’ necklace – a nod to her soon-to-be status of being Mrs. Bezos.
The necklace is just one of the many ways Sanchez has paraded her love for the Amazon founder as she isn’t shy when it comes to showcasing her admiration for her fiancé.
