The legacy media is already attempting to show just how heartless and cruel the Trump administration supposedly is with what is clearly a pre-arranged moment.

In Juarez, Mexico, Washington Post reporter Arelis Hernandez managed to capture the reaction of a woman who had her CBP One appointment canceled after the Trump administration deactivated the app.
As Jennifer Van Laar reported on Monday, the CBP One app was taken down, denying illegal aliens to recieve blanket humanitarian parole, effectively allowing them to be in the United States indefinitely. More than 800,000 people had pending appointments.

As the apps went offline, Hernandez was there with camera in hand to capture this moment where a woman begins sobbing, looking up to the heavens randomly with a pained look on her face. All the while, cameras were snapping and recording.
This is clearly an act, and the dramatics have been really dialed up for this performance past the point of believability.

This was a promise of the Trump administration, and it was made for good reason.
The app actually encouraged and more or less facilitated illegal immigration, giving people who shouldn’t ever be admitted into the United States a way inside until such a time when their appointment date come along, which was done via lottery. According to the Committee on Homeland Security, between January and September 2023, 95.8 percent of migrants were released into the U.S. on parole after simply scheduling an appointment. Moreover, these weren’t just asylum seekers:

- The documents show 278,431 appointments scheduled, with 266,846 of these individuals released into the interior.
- Individuals from a number of countries of concern made appointments through the app and were overwhelmingly released into the country.
- Out of 57,381 appointments made by Venezuelan nationals, 55,690 were released on parole, a rate of 97 percent.
- Out of 20,948 appointments made by Russian nationals, 19,780 were released on parole, a rate of 94 percent.
- Out of 2,279 appointments made by Uzbek nationals, 1,866 were released on parole, a rate of 82 percent.
- Out of 801 appointments made by Belarusian nationals, 787 were released on parole, a rate of 98 percent.
- Out of 246 appointments made by Afghan nationals, 229 were released on parole, a rate of 93 percent.
- Out of 36 appointments made by Chinese nationals, 32 were released on parole, a rate of 88 percent.
- Out of 18 appointments made by Iranian nationals, 16 were released on parole, a rate of 88 percent.
Of course, this hasn’t stopped the Washington Post from laying it on thick:
One woman sat down and began to weep beneath a fleece blanket. Another leaned against a pole, buried her face in her gloved hands and cried. Jiménez made a video call to his mother, anxiously awaiting news from Cuba.
“After everything we’ve done and gone through to get here,” Jiménez lamented. “If only I had had the appointment for three hours earlier. That’s why we tried.”

Despite this being exactly what many Americans voted for, the legacy media is going to do its level best to make people feel guilty for electing Trump, and try to make Trump look like a villain, shunting poor asylum seekers into the cold.
However, as you can see from the numbers above, many of these people are anything but asylum seekers.
