Like Clockwork: Nancy Mace Drops Receipts After Receiving Threatening Video Message From Trans ‘Woman’

Earlier Tuesday we reported on a resolution being introduced by Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) that would effectively make the women’s restrooms on Capitol Hill off-limits to biological males including those who identify as transgender women.

The bill, H.Res.1579, is titled “Prohibiting Members, officers, and employees of the House from using single-sex facilities other than those corresponding to their biological sex, and for other purposes.” It states:

PROHIBITION.—A Member, Delegate, Resident Commissioner, officer, or employee of the House may not use a single-sex facility (including a restroom, changing room, or locker room) in the Capitol or House Office Buildings, other than those corresponding to the biological sex of such individual.

It also calls for the Sergeant-at-Arms to be charged with its enforcement.

Though Democrats had a bad Election Day in part based on concerns the American people have about the left’s transgender agenda, the Usual Suspects have already lined up to call Mace a hateful bigot, telling her to stay in her lane and to leave Rep.-Elect Sarah McBride (D-DE), the transgender woman who in part was Mace’s inspiration for the resolution, alone.

The problem for her critics, though is that Mace, who is a sexual assault survivor, has receipts to back up the concerns she and other women have about having to open up bathrooms, locker rooms, dressing rooms, and the like to transgender women. Case in point, this video posted to Instagram from a deranged transgender individual who threatened Mace with violence and murder over her stance:

At some point, the person elaborated on his position regarding murdering political opponents and how he was 100 percent on board with the idea:

I went to the Instagram account in question earlier and saw the videos, including one where he said popular “Harry Potter” author JK Rowling, who has also spoken out against the transgender agenda, “needs to die.” Not long after Mace reposted them, the Instagram account was set to private. As of this writing, the link to the person’s Instagram page takes you to the following message:

“Sorry, this page isn’t available. The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed. Go back to Instagram.

A link listed on the Instagram page before it was taken down was to a GoFundMe fundraiser for the individual, who was seeking money to help pay for what they called “life-changing surgeries” including “medical transitions.”

Mace in her role as a United States Congresswoman is putting a face to the countless women (and men) in this country who are not cool with the thought that they and/or their loved ones will have to share their safe spaces with someone who says they identify as a woman and who might mean them harm.

Further, they’re very uncomfortable over the possibility that they, who may be in varying stages of undress themselves, will encounter an undressed transgender woman who still has male body parts in a changing room, bathroom, etc., something Save Women’s Sports spokeswoman Riley Gaines said happened to her and her teammates on the University of Kentucky women’s swim team.

This is not okay. This will never be okay.

It’s not being “bigoted” to want to maintain these safe spaces for women, and no matter what political side of the aisle on which you reside you should be able to understand the difference between legitimate concern and bigotry.

Relatedly, North Carolina was home to one of the earliest and most contentious fights over this very issue (HB2 aka “the bathroom bill”), which included McClatchy-owned papers in this state providing us with these rather illuminating gems:

I think we’ve met the real extremists here, and it’s not us.
