Lindsay Hubbard revealed she is in the process of figuring out her living situation with her boyfriend after welcoming their first child together.
The reality TV personality, 38, clarified that even though they don’t live together, they are always together.
Now — over two weeks after she gave birth to her first child, newborn daughter Gemma — she said the decision to move in together is being ‘discussed.’
‘He has spent the night and has been by my side 24/7 for the entire past month,’ she said in an interview with People that was published over the weekend.
She and her boyfriend started dating a year before they welcomed their baby together.
She explained that they were only a few months into their relationship when she got pregnant and did not want to put more on their plate in addition to having a baby together.
Hubbard — who separated from ex-fiancé Carl Radke last year with their breakup airing on the Summer House’s season eight finale — explained that she wanted to take it slow, even though they did things ‘a little out of order.’
‘If there’s anything that I’ve learned from my past, especially in my last relationship, it’s that nothing is guaranteed,’ she said.
‘And when you get pregnant so quickly into dating, I didn’t want to put more pressure on our relationship than a pregnancy and a baby is already putting that — very big, lifelong pressure,’ she said.
‘I would love to say, “One step at a time.” And, yes, it’s a little backwards and it’s a little out of order, but I wasn’t about to add to the to-do list,’ she explained.
Hubbard noted, however, that ‘it is being discussed.’
She explained that they have been talking about moving in general with consideration of their baby’s future
She also suggested that moving in together could happen sooner rather than later considering that the lease on her current place will end next year.
‘My lease is up in June,’ she explained. ‘We talk a lot about school districts and making those decisions based off of where we might want to send Gemma to school.’
At the moment, Hubbard said that they spend the majority of their time at her place anyway, so they are heading in that direction — just at their own pace.
‘And even though technically this is my apartment, this is our HQ for the home of our daughter and me,’ she told the outlet.
‘He basically brought over a bunch of clothes and toiletries and is essentially going between my apartment and his apartment, but rarely ever leaves me and Gemma,’ she said.
Even in the trailer for the upcoming ninth season of Summer House, former star Danielle Olivera made a guest appearance and asked why Hubbard and her boyfriend haven’t moved in together yet prior to the birth of their child.
‘I just don’t want it to feel like you’re single-momming this up,’ Olivera said to Hubbard.
Hubbard recalled their conversation and shared insight into another one they had more recently about the same topic.
‘We went to lunch like a month ago, and once we talked more in depth about the whole living situation, she was like, “Oh my gosh, I completely understand your perspective now,’ she shared.
‘I was like, “First of all, two years ago, you’re telling me I’m moving too fast. Now you’re pushing me to move in before I’m ready.”‘
When the upcoming season of Summer House airs, Hubbard’s pregnancy journey and their conversations will be shared. The first episode of Summer House’s ninth season will premiere February 12, 2025 on Bravo.
