Mail Sport’s Craig Hope did not hold back in his assessment of Manchester City during his latest appearance on It’s All Kicking Off!

Hope was speaking after City blew a 3-0 lead in a 3-3 draw with Feyenoord in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday.

That remarkable turnaround came after Pep Guardiola‘s men had lost their previous five matches in a row – including a 4-0 thrashing at home by Tottenham.

Hope pointed out that City had overcome multiple blips during the Guardiola era but that this time things are different and that the manager had been sleeping on the job.

He also claimed that City will likely struggle to finish second, let alone first, if they lose away at Premier League leaders Liverpool on Sunday.

There was criticism of Erling Haaland too as the question was posed: Is he a flat track bully rather than an elite striker?

Haaland scored two goals against Feyenoord prior to City’s collapse. He also bagged a hat-trick for Norway against Kazakhstan during the international break.

But he has only netted twice in his last seven Premier League games, despite having 36 shots.
