In an act of kindness, model, social media influencer, and LSU super senior gymnast Olivia Dunne gifted her older sister, Julz, her ‘dream car’ for her birthday.
Dunne captured it all on video, showing her driving up to her sister’s residence and going inside to ‘kidnap’ her.
The gymnast filmed herself tying a blindfold over her sister’s eyes and leading her outside to get in Dunne’s car.
After struggling to get her sister into the vehicle, Dunne drove with her blindfolded older sibling.
Awaiting them was a forest green Jeep Wrangler. After helping her sister out of the car, the gymnast took off the blindfold.
When Julz realized what had happened, she was overcome with emotion and then hugged her younger sister.
Later images showed the Dunne sisters posing with the vehicle and Julz taking it out for a spin.
While Livvy may be the face of the tidy little social media empire she’s grown for herself, she’s often given credit to her older sister for being the brains behind the operation.
Both sisters attend LSU – or, in Julz’s case, attended LSU – and remained incredibly close throughout their schooling.
While Livvy was at practice or in classes during the day, she and her sister were able to work on content at night.
In a 2023 appearance on The Purple Room, an LSU sports podcast, Julz revealed that she was the one behind the filming, editing, and directing of the various advertisements that Livvy posts to her TikTok account.
Julz even works with brands directly to ensure they meet standards set out by companies.
‘I really love doing that. It’s awesome and it’s just something that I would love to continue doing for her, for myself, for other athletes, for really anyone,’ she added.
While Julz works for her younger sister, she says that her relationship with her is of the utmost importance.
‘That is my best friend, so, at the end of the day, that’s the relationship that really matters more than the ones from other people online that I don’t even know,’ Julz said.
At one point, the social media sensation was concerned over a potential American ban of the social media app TikTok.
At one point, she even posted a joke video with ‘Baby Gronk’ saying that she was ‘getting her LinkedIn ready’. Thankfully for her, the ban was quickly reversed.
Livvy is in her final year of college gymnastics – choosing to return for a fifth year over the summer rather than graduating and going on to do something else.
The LSU Tigers are currently ranked third in the country and are 5-2 on the season. Both of their losses (to No. 1 Oklahoma and No. 17 Arkansas) came within tenths of a point.
LSU next competes against No. 14 Alabama on the road on Friday.
