Marjorie Taylor Greene has had enough of the liberal media as she gains power in this second Donald Trump term, posting video of herself tearing into a reporter for asking a ‘stupid question.’
Greene, one of the president’s closest allies in Congress and now the House’s DOGE Subcommittee Chair, posted an interaction with Punchbowl News reporter Melanie Zanona.
Zanona asked her what she thought about Lauren Boebert‘s plot to give guided tours of the Capitol to those pardoned for their role in the January 6 riot.
‘I’m not doing this. This insane place up here and all of y’all’s obsession with January 6 is absurd,’ Greene said.
She wondered if someone was going to ask about Joe Biden offering pardons to family members and close allies just before President Trump was sworn in Monday.
‘Everybody outside of here is sick and f***ing tired of it. I’m serious. Everybody up here has their panties in a wad.’
She added of the rioters, ‘A lot of them walked through open doors. That’s it.’
Greene added that Biden had pardoned ‘murderers and rapists and disgusting people.’
Zanona pushed back, saying she was merely asking about the possibility of tours for those pardoned and how passionate Greene was about justice for them.
‘They’re pardoned and thank God, I hope they go live their lives and reassemble something back together. They have suffered enough,’ she said.
She continued: ‘I’ve seen all the Democrat-run networks ad nauseam about January 6. And they just can’t get over themselves. But they don’t give a s*** about real Americans!’
When Zanona pushed back, Greene appeared to become more upset: ‘I’m so sick of you people and this crap. I really am.’
The Congresswoman then turned to how the media treats her in general, saying they never gave her a chance and their treatment of her is why the public is skeptical of them.
‘Why don’t you do a story on what people care about? People care about the border, the economy, energy. They’re sick and tired of the foreign wars. They’re tired of the hypocrisy up here, and they hate the media right now,’ she fumed.
Greene posted the full clip to X, writing: ‘After 4 yrs, I’m fed up with Washington DC press.’
‘Your assumptions are ignorant and you are absolutely disconnected and clueless about what is important in life and to Americans. You have destroyed your credibility. With social media like X, you can’t lie about me anymore.’
Speaking to a media gaggle packed into his White House office Monday night, Trump said he was pardoning about 1,500 defendants and issuing six commutations.
He also directed the attorney general to seek dismissal of about 450 pending criminal cases against Jan. 6 defendants.
The pardons fulfill Trump’s promise to release supporters who tried to help him overturn his election defeat four years ago.
‘These are the hostages,’ he said while signing the paperwork in the Oval Office.
There have been over 1,500 people charged with federal crimes stemming from the historic protest which saw hordes of MAGA fans takeover Capitol Hill.
Over 1,000 defendants have been charged or pleaded guilty to a range of crimes from trespassing to seditious conspiracy.
Many Americans witnessed the event live on TV, from which they could see violence against authorities, vandalism against the historic Capitol building and other general anarchy light up their screens.
Republicans are hoping to further review the events of January 6, 2021 now that Trump has taken office.
