McDonald’s Australia unveils controversial new summer menu – including world-first Cadbury collaboration

McDonald’s Australia has revealed its highly anticipated summer menu shakeup – with new burgers and a slew of tropical sweet treats.

Several pineapple-themed items are hitting Aussie stores this week, a summer fruit thousands have dubbed ‘the most controversial of all time’.

‘Never-before-seen’ snacks include three tangy burgers which are sure to drum up a heated debate among foodies.

The Hawaiian BBQ Deluxe boasts 100 per cent Aussie beef patty topped with a juicy pineapple ring along with bacon, fresh vegetables, Jack cheese, and smoky BBQ sauce.

The Hawaiian McCrispy and Hawaiian McSpicy burgers feature juicy Aussie chicken with McDonald’s signature deliciousness.

For those who need a quick solution to beat the heat, they can purchase a popular returning favourite: a sundae covered in pineapple sauce and chunks – with the choice of the iconic vanilla or chocolate soft serve for the base.

A brand new dessert is a world-first collaboration between Australia’s top chocolate bar and Macca’s.

The Cadbury Cherry Ripe McFlurry features a creamy soft serve topped with dark chocolate flakes and drizzled in a rich cherry sauce.
