Meryl Streep‘s daughter Mamie Gummer has filed for divorce from husband Mehar Sethi after six years of marriage.
The 75-year-old renowned actress’ 41-year-old second-born child, whom she shares with ex-husband Don Gummer, listed their date of separation as May 6, 2023, per TMZ.
The soon-to-be exes share two children — five-year-old son Peter and three-year-old daughter Mary.
Mamie is seeking joint legal and physical custody of the kids.
Additionally, documents obtained by the outlet revealed that Gummer is seeking spousal support and wishes to terminate the court’s ability to award support to Mehar.

They tied the knot in February 2019, and welcomed their son Peter the same month. Their daughter Mary was born in 2021.
This marks the second divorce for Mamie, who was previously married to Benjamin Walker from 2011-2013.
In addition to Mamie, Meryl shares son Henry, 45, and daughters Grace, 38, and Louisa, 33, with her ex-husband.
Meryl was married to Don for 45 years before they announced their split in October 2023. The pair tied the knot in 1978.
They revealed at the time that they had been separated ‘for more than six years’ after deciding to live their ‘lives apart.’
Streep moved on with Only Murders in the Building co-star Martin Short.
While their romance came as a shock to fans, it was the ‘worst kept secret’ on the set of the Hulu series, according to a source who claimed their ‘affection’ was palpable on and off-screen.
The Hollywood vets, who play lovers Loretta Durkin and Oliver Putnam, sparked rumors they were dating in real life after being pictured together on multiple occasions.
The pair even held hands at an event for their hit Hulu series last August.
At the time, a representative for Streep told Page Six they were ‘just friends,’ however, insiders later disclosed to DailyMail.com that a romance did blossom on set.
‘Meryl and Martin denied their romantic involvement months ago,’ the insider noted.
‘They are the worst kept secret of the entire production. No one really asks them anything because they don’t need to,’ it was added.
